Mate that looks so good. That's killer shading. Outstanding stuff. It looks to me like the outer shell is spot on. "Most impressive" "Obi Wan has taught you well".

Interesting you bring-up the point about the oil wash. I was in EXACTLY the same situation with the STAP/battle droid build a few months back. I did the oil wash and I'm so glad that I did. The (light) wash just made all the detail 'pop' and after the final satin coat it looked 'just right'.

It's entirely your choice, and it really does look very good as it is, but you did ask !!

Ian.

That I did Ian and thanks for the feed back from you and Bishop. I do need to dull the top down a bit. Due to me wanting to spray around the rail and ensuring it was covered, it's whiter than the rest of the body. May add a snow effect to it, but a light mist of matte black should help.

Did a bit more shading with Tamiya Smoke. First time I've used that. May have not been the best option but I'll carry on layering.
File Attachment:

I've sprayed the base white over black primer but left some of the black showing through. Glenn is sending some snow flock? so that will go over the base and a little on the

Yeah I saw that on his daily show. Amazing. I used enamel on the insides of the cockpit but it may have been protected by the liberal use of klear. I won't be risking any more though.

So thanks to Glenn, I have some snow. Never used anything like this before but I figured that it would be best to use PVA. I had bought some stuff from Mitre 10 a few weeks ago that is a lot thinner than the Micro Krystal Klear. So i just squirted some on the bench and used a brush to paint the glue on.
File Attachment:

being so thin it didn't lay down that evenly.
File Attachment:

I decided to just sprinkle it over the base, making sure I tried to cover everything. Happy that some of the darker areas of the base are still showing through.

And she's on. U need to lay down a little bit of paint on the top of the AT-ST which I'll do tomorrow and then lau down some loose snow over the kit, and then I'll call her finished.
