Nice job mate... I've done the tooth pick trick as well in the past... with varying degrees of success Yours looks much tidier though.
The buffable paint looks great too... I wonder how well it would work on larger surfaces such as the rear end on an F-100 or F-15 etc.
And suddenly she's kinda finished. I have thought about weathering it with a wash, but I dont think it needs it. The paint work is kinda weathered by itself. Let me know what you think. Happy for ideas.
Update In Stash:
Lots of 1/35 Armor mainly WWII German and a few Modern British/American pieces, 1/32 Aircraft and 1/48 Aircraft. Aircraft chosen to replicate RNZAF and RAAF types through the years. Some RAF & USAF types exist also.
It's turned out looking brilliant mate. Lots of depth to it and the metallic paint really sets it off.
I'd be hesitant to try doing anything else to it until you've sorted a diorama to place it on if that's what you were intending.
Really nice job!
Cheers guys. Yeah I'll probably do a little bit more to it. I don't know if I'll add the decals, I don't think it needs them. Maybe a little bit of rust effect, although I'll want to test on something else first
I think I got this kit for about $45 from Mighty Ape. I think it's well worth it for the quality of plastic and engineering, but keep your eye out. A little bird said there might be one coming up as a prize soon here on the forums.
