MS-18E KAMPFER - 1/144 Gundam was created by grunzter
Well as a short break from my current 1/35 subjects I thought I would do a quick build on my sons 1/144 scale Gundam he wants but probably will never make...
It’s his 10th birthday this Saturday so probably wont have it completed by then, but at least ready for paint.
Started it yesterday, and just have the arms and head to finish, plus some sanding…
With luck it will be ready for priming later this week.
The intention is to stick with the original colours, but i will put the number '10' on it for his birthday, as well as his name representing him as the pilot of this suit...

Cool Daddy Oh

On the Bench:
Tamiya 1/24 Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI (1993 DTM) - "Built to Race" GB
Revell 1/24 '77 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 - getting the "Mad-Maxed" treatment - moving to the "Diorama" GB

Don't let someone dim your light simply because it's shinning in their eyes !

I'd love to get my hands on a mg kampfer, or even a RG if they ever do one but even for a HG that looks like a nice kit.

Well i thought i had better finish this since my 10 year old's birthday is long over...
Base coats mostly on, and weathering just started.
This will go on a little diorama base thats also in progress.
EBL is my sons initials, and the 'Kiwi' represents him being a kiwi, number 10 for his age and his name is on it...

Very nice.
And better than some builds that actually get published in Japanese hobby magazines (I'll post about how weak some of the work that gets published is at some point once I have scanned the magazines)

What did you use for paint etc?

Base colours were Tamiya acrylics sprayed on.
Details were mostly Vallego acrylics with a brush, except the shotgus which were tamiya enamel.
It had a simple tamiya arylic gloss before a quick AK dark brown wash, and then its just been flat coated ready for lots of weathering, as my son wants it well worn and used looking!
