Just really noticed this part of the forum and realised that there isn't a great deal in here, so though I would start a quick build of a 1/144 Zaku Warrior from the Gundam Seed S Destiny series ( ) don't really know and or follow this thing but its pretty big overseas (movies and stuff) I got these kits to do a quick dio (Mechs on patrol) as they are pretty much snap together (made one for my daughter a few months ago so these ones wont get painted pink

I got two of these kits so will "try" to do them up in a patrol or different poses anyway (will also try to include the "big" gun/blaster from the other kit but will see how I go

Plan is to build them, fix any seam issues then paint in an urban splinter pattern of sorts, then use spare aircraft decals

we'll see how I go (weather about to turn nasty and ment to be heading back out to work this week)

Not too bad, other than the pink. But like you said, it was for your daughter (or are you just using that as an excuse to have something pink on your display shelf???  )

I remember building one of these (or something very similar) and a Macross VF1 Bandai kit ages ago and they weren't bad little kits.

first colour - royal light grey

next up will mask and second colour will be coral blue followed by IJN grey

second one will be - royal light grey - light blue - blue

may throw in some wooden deck tan as well but we'll see

some bleed through but for the most part pretty happy with it, will do some chips etc with silver and try giving it a wash, just have to paint all the small details now ;)

with the second one I will try the salt/hair spray method and really try to beat it up somewhat

pretty much together now just have to wait on the weather to clear coat and then try the weathering

really a fun build and starting on the next one tonight (as I said it will be an "older" model and hopefully badly weathered by the time I am finished with it, then do the base ;)

cheers

That looks really good. Kinda reminds me of the splinter camo the later flankers and the T-50's have...
