This kit was my first attempt at major scratch-building...and in fact, entirely scratch-built! It was done for a group build at another site and was inspired by Gary, to try my hand at this style building. After being absent from the workbench for many years now, and with renewed desire to try a comeback, I thought this would be a fitting thread to post to jump back in things.

I knew I wanted to use the bones of a kit, along with lots of plasticard. However, I nearly killed a Star Wars fan at that aforementioned group build, when I chopped up an At-At for part of the main body!!!

I wanted the effect of the engines powered up, so I cut some cheap blue foam matting and hand painted ignition flames! ...the thing rear section of the ship is all plasticardl and the engine thrusters are just scrap parts. The front rail guns I believe were from the At-At.

Thanks for checking it out!!!

Incidentally, I showed this in competition at a local IPMS show...the Wings & Wheels of Western Massachusetts, Western New England Chapter.

It won a Bronze Medal.
