Model is complete, but rigging is not (will be redoing it all as its too big, messy and a bit crap). This will also have a proper water base, but still considering options there.

The IJN had some BIG and good looking subs especially with these kaiten's on here deck .
Love to see what you do with the water ,

Thanks, its a really nice kit, but fiddly as hell!

as for the cage antenna:
Another attempt, this time with finer non-stretch line (invisible sewing thread) and smaller rings. Rings were made by wrapping a thin copper wire round a metal tube many time, then sliding the coil off and cutting it with a knife, resulting in perfect little rings. then I held 9 rings in place back on the tube with tape, and stretched/ca glued the line to the rings, then tied/glued the ends off. Painful and not perfect at all, but probably as good as Im getting without using pe spacers with actual notches for the lines to get them perfectly placed, and some kind of jig. So I think Im calling this done and waiting for its ocean base.

Update In Stash:
Lots of 1/35 Armor mainly WWII German and a few Modern British/American pieces, 1/32 Aircraft and 1/48 Aircraft. Aircraft chosen to replicate RNZAF and RAAF types through the years. Some RAF & USAF types exist also.
