40MM Bofors and twin MG34.

The Bofors still needs a shield and the MG34's wil be replaced with better ones ,the ones that came wit the kit are BAD.

I wondered if you might replace the MGs. Some DML Gen ii ones would be nice. This is flying along Maarten, lovely work.

The apparatus on the side of the shield is a 8,6 cm - Raketen Abschuß Gerät M/42 (Rocketlauncher)
These rocket launchers fired a high-explosive anti-aircraft missiles. In addition, there were also missiles available with a long cable that descended on parachutes. These anti-aircraft missiles were deployed mainly from 1944 to combat attacks by enemy aircraft..

Shield and launcher is frome Shapways.

Sure looks methodical (spaced and aligned). Well done!

Maarten, just out of curiosity. Generally, is it better to have the rivets raised larger than real so you cannot mistake them as rivets. Or is it better to sand them down to scale and have them possibly accepted as a kit fabrication?

It's down to personal taste,

On the real boats they were pretty noticeable.so i went for this type ,you can get them finer /smaller .
And the layer of paint will slightly reduce them .

I will replace all the kits rivets with new ones
