Update In Stash:
Lots of 1/35 Armor mainly WWII German and a few Modern British/American pieces, 1/32 Aircraft and 1/48 Aircraft. Aircraft chosen to replicate RNZAF and RAAF types through the years. Some RAF & USAF types exist also.
Happy New Year to everyone.
Getting over the medical problems, but complete lack of mojo for modelling for a while.
Hopefully getting back on board this new year, as although not been modelling I have still been buying more kits !!!!!!!!
Need to get on with this so I can get into the new ones.
Finally back on board, some medicals out of the way and mojo back on line.
Had a long time to think about the build, and realised that when finished it would not fit in my car.
I have decided to break the hull down into 3 sections, that will fit into the car easily and be reassembled at the lake side.
Stern control runs and shafts integral with the stern section, bow control runs integral with the bow section, and the motor/servo's
in the WTC in the centre sections.
To keep the cost down I'm only using whatever I have in my spares box.
The hull joints are made using extra strong magnets to secure them together, the control rods will be linked by screw connectors and
the shafts by normal connectors.
Hopefully the photo's will be self explanatory.
Cool that you're back into this. I was looking forward to seeing this built up and after seeing one of these kits in the flesh at gary's, I realise what you mean about fitting in the car. She's not a small boat at all.
Following on from the previous uploads.
Not having cemented the main (centre) hull together, I separated the halves to help in the lining up of the prop shaft
This required the gearbox being lifted slightly, as in the photos.
