This should be a quick out the box build, something to do while the paint dries on the B-24 or if I need a rest. I got given this by Gary Baxter as he was leaving the Nats in November, he had won it as a prize but said he'd never build it. I fancied it because it gives me a chance to play with rust tones and it's something I can bang out in a day or two (well the basics anyway).
Made a start on this last night just after midnight, was waiting for nipper to go to bed or he'd of been up all night on the XBox. Was then up early again this morning so just cracked on with it, was kind of distracted by making the seat belts so just banged it out during down times from them.
It went together really well, had some issues with the propshafts as I mounted the gearbox 180 degrees round the wrong way and wasn't going to change it so just chopped the prop down to fit (my bad not the kits).
Have used AK Real colours modern US desert and Mr Hobby Tyre black for the tyres, will continue with it as and when I can, in fits and starts so updates will be patchy.
Thanks for looking comments and suggestions welcome.
Oh the Despae circle cutter was for the wheel masks.
Nah, I have too much on this year, I have a set of chainmail to make as well, this was just going to be a filler. If I get time to do something else it'll be something I want to build, if it fits in all the better.
As for can I build it in that time, I think anyone that sees how quick I work wouldn't even think otherwise
Sorry you got called out on another GB not something I'd of done (I don't think it was me lol) this is only step 1 of the instruction sheet, there's still another 10+ steps to go, it just looks a lot.
It is what it is, you created the rules I just copy/pasted them, I didn't even read them tbh.
Like I said no worries, just one less entry.
