I've spent the last four days in hospital so no progress on this. Hopfully a weekend of modeling will be therapeutic. I had gall stones and the first and the second op didn't work. Pretty frustrating really.

Ouch! Get well soon.

I'm not sure what the pain is like from gall stones, but I had kidney stones and the pain from them was excruciating!

Sorry to hear about your gallstone "impasse". I'm a gall bladder shy myself, but I can uncategorically state life is a lot better without it. Get well soon and model on mate!!

Thanks everyone. Finally got out today. :side: I had to make it 24 hours without a fever, and being immune suppressed for the kidney makes that very difficult. During the first op I developed a bleed (and woke up!!!) and in the second they failed to get the stones out. We were worried for sometime that I was developing sepsis or pancreatitis. Moving on though. I need to take it easy for a few days so I'm going to work on this (and maybe something else too!) :)

Good to hear you are out. The wife had pancreatitus about a month and a half after having the little one and was in hospital for about a week and a half. She hated it and was in a really bad way for a while. Shes good now since she had her gall bladder removed though so at least you know things will get better! She just has to watch what she eats as if she has too much dairy or anything fatty (no more pork belly!) she gets quite sick.

Finished the light blue on the top. I tried to get a bit of variation on there with some mottling and shading, but kept it subtle. So subtle it doesn't really come out in the pictures, but it adds a bit of depth. Next a protective coat over this and the same process on the dark blue.

That paint job is sublime. The panel lines etc are visible enough like they are in real life but still very subtle. Nice work! Can't wait to see the further weathering you do on this one.

These can run the gamut from very clean:

to very worn:

to almost bare metal:

However you do the weathering I'm sure it will look fantastic.

Thanks. It's nice to make an improvement over the last paint job. :)

This week I masked:

Next up is a bit of work on the bottom, and then masking that. I'm in no rush.

Those photos are good for showing the bare metal areas for masking aye! Watching you do this and how quick you are working is making me feel like getting my 1/32 f16i out, the box is on my desk as I have gotten some aftermarket stuff for it but I have been feeling the mojo maybe start to show its head again so maybe I might crack it open sometime soon and do some work on it... Thanks for the inspiration!

Small update. They took out my bile duct stent yesterday. It's huge! No wonder I was so uncomfortable. Day off today to relax and do some painting on the Flanker. :)

Working on the exhausts. I will darken these up with washes (including a blue wash) but that will have to wait until the masking is off. Moving on to try and get this finished.
