I hope you have all been keeping well.

I’m currently working on Tamiya’s M1 Super Sherman. It’s for a radial engined GB over on Britmodeller..

It’s gone together nicely so far. I replaced the kit barrel for one from aber and I’m currently using some Panda plastics tracks... I gave the Kaizen tracks a go but bailed out on those...

Here is the boxing...

And contents...

The hull features a one piece trans cover but the hull is designed for a 3 piece so I had to fill the gap with some plastic card..

Construction was pretty straightforward after that..

The kit is typically Tamiya and not a cutting edge as Dragon or Tasca but ok.

I added the AM barrel...

And sculpted a mantlet cover out of epoxy putty

And tweaked the track guards with some plastic card..

Gave it a primer coat of earth brown

And made a tow cable out of lead wire

I’m now in the process of doing the tracks...

It’s been enjoyable thus far and not overly taxing and getting the panda tracks has moved it along. I was loosing faith with the Kaizen tracks...
