Good one. Any questions just ask. AC models do a NZ crew for the Sherman (shamless plug there) and I understand a NZ crew for the M10 in the new year, at least I think its going to be a NZ crew.
Working on my M10 at the moment after spending five hours this morning sorting things here including driving in the prechristmas traffic to pic up models etc from mum's in Cambridge. Got bloody annoyed with this holiday traffic and those individuals who think its ok to drive at 70 to 80km on the open rod with 30 cars behind them!
Ok rant over now where is the new lounge sweet, third attempt today to get it right!

Nothing much here yet, been away on holiday.
Looking forward to sinking my teeth back into it now.
Bought some Model Colour paints for the figures the other day and some Tamiya for the Sherman :woohoo:

This may morph into a dio with 2 Shermans, Universal carrier, White Scout car, 1 wrecked Schwimmwagen, about 20 Kiwi infantry and 4 German Paratroops as prisoners.
Phew

MIGHT I say

Nice camouflage work. From the photo I think the driver's side panel on the Sch W is coming adrift. Great watching these come together.

Why is patience a virtue, why can't hurry the f**k up be a virtue?

Driver's side looks fine to me. :P

Nice camo job Tiger. What's the plan with the rare white albino Sherman? :)

Cheers guys.
The Sherman is going to have a disruptive ? cammo pattern soon.
Colours are Deck Tan and German Grey mixed with a hint of blue, i'm going to have a crack at OD's advice for the colours as I don't have a clue  ;)

Thanks for popping in.

Well I have a wee bit more done now, progress has been slower than snail pace :(
Have done a little more painting on the figures but nothing picture/post worthy at moment.
Also have camo pattern done on Sherman and decals 1/2 done.

If I get time today I will take some pics and post
Fingers crossed.

Need to change the title maybe also as I have a clearer idea of the scene and story. ??

Looking good, always like the kiwi element.
Lot of figures waiting for you LOL.
I see the decals have silvered a little. One trick I do with decals if the surface is not perfectly shiny is to set them down onto a layer of future, and then coat them in future. Once dry no air below, and a nice hard protected layer on top... :)

I have used AK European and Africa dust effects, it's like a wash and also Chalk pastels rubbed through sieve and rubbed on.
Not really what I was after so may do it again yet.
Can't even decide if this now going to be a big dio like my Red Ball Express or maybe smaller individual displays.

I used MicoSol to lay these down and have matt coat over to seal.

These are Bison decals and cost me a fair bit so don't really want to buy more if I have to

Are you applying any gloss before laying out the decals? Either klear/Future or Tamiya X-22?

Here is a youtube vid on fixing silvered decals. Watch from around 4 mins

Here is a thread on another type of fix
