Here it is, the first IDF vehicle I've ever tried. Lots to learn, but a start. My young son asked, in that "you pathetic man" voice... "is that material supposed to be sand?" "Well yes" I said with a sheepish smile. Not so much sun in these, so the paint colour takes on that darker green shade. Its an amazing mix.
Craig, sorry, I should have said that I'd been pouring over the info on that site, excellent stuff. Another friend pointed it out when I put the M50 in the stash. I'm going to do the Magach 6 blazer next, then the Kerkava 4, and finally the M50, then that will just about cover it with the IDF tanks (he says jokingly.)
The IDF modern tank colour is really hard to nail. I mixed some up when I started painting my Merkava IV and decided that the mix you used (the 50% Buff and 50% whatever the other color was) just wasn't green enough so ended up mixing in some olive green and olive drab and yellow and some other colours till I though it looked right but after seeing your build I think maybe I should have stuck with the recommended mix (if only cause I'm never gonna be able to get my mix right again cause it was such a mishmash of colours. Looks like you nailed it though Bishop, good job!
In Soviet Russia, Iron Curtain GB builds you!
People look at me funny when I say I own "Fifty shades of Grey". FS36118, FS36270, FS36375.....
