Tamiya Super Pershing was created by olive drab
An up gunned version of the standard Pershing but personally I would have prefered the Hobby Boss one with the add on armour which I understand was a single field modification made from cut up Panthers.

That looks to be an easy scratch build to add the armour, even to the mantlet. Are the figures ok with the kit?

The crew look to be the same two who came out with the orginal Pershing so they won't be anything special, I have only seen the boxart at this stage.
Thinking about the Hobby Boss uparmoured one at this stage so I can use the Modelmaster Acryl Olive Drab.

The Hobby Boss would need a replacement main gun barrel as its the dread two piece plastic one in the kit, Tiger Models periscopes, and latch handles and replacement tracks. Plus a crew. a review is in a Tamiya International Mag.

Hi OD,
I built the 1/72 Trumpeter Super Pershing & up armoured it

I used Steven Zaloga's Mil Mod & Roy Chow's Track link 1/35 scale articles to help me.

www.militarymodelling.com/news/article.asp?UAN=792&SP=&v=1

www.track-link.net/blogs/17

or Steve's standard Pershing

Hope this helps

Mine cost less! :P

Don't forget the 'A' & '2' markings are postwar.

How about a combo kit where you could produce both versions? Cost a bit more but dump the figures and it would be far off, and add a metal barrel!
