Leopard 2A4 was created by IAN
Kit - Hobbyboss 1:35
Paint - All Tamiya acrylics
Decals - Revell
Extras - None

When I bought the TAKOM Leo 1A5 last year, I very quickly realised that at my advanced age, and limited ability a model with 712 pieces just for tracks alone, would simply never get started, let alone finished, so because I really wanted a Leopard tank in my small AFV collection, I sold it and bought this Hobbyboss kit for just $40.00 INCLUDING postage from an eBay seller in China.

It's very 'basic' with soft detail, single length rubber tracks and badly represented road wheels, but for the price of a Series 2 Airfix kit, it's pretty d*mn good. I opened it within three days of it arriving, took my time and still completed the whole (big) thing in just over three weeks.

Great kit for curing AMS (lack of 'Modelling Mojo') and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for taking the time to look, as ever all comments, criticism and questions welcome.

Back now to the V100 & M46... AFN.

Looks good. :cheer: I agree that it's nice to build something without a million parts once in a while.

Very nice indeed. I like the weathering to go along with the camouflage. More AFV kits for you!!!

Not impossible, matey, been researching Kiwi '20th Armd. Regt. Fireflies' this evening... I bought the Tasca kit just before we came-out, and right now I'm really enjoying my AFV building. Thanks all for the comments, I'm going to try to get it to the Cambridge show in November and park it alongside Gary's Challenger just to show how d*mn big it is !!

That came out looking very nice Ian, top job!
I always like the boxy-ness of the early Leo's, kind of like a new age Tiger 1...

After this BoB build of mine is finished, I'll be feeling also like building a kit without a thousand parts. I like the camo on the tank there mate, looks pretty cool!
