Here is my next finished one.

Dragon 1/35 Miag StuG III Ausf G April-May 1943 Production.

Built OOB with Friul tracks added. Stowage from Tamiya Fuel drum set.

Painted with Tamiya acrylics and weathered with AK washes. Based on a Das Reich SS StuG III seen around Kursk 1943

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

TMI Gary, TMI

Looks good Andrew, although I do agree with G1, looks a little clean. But I'm sure you can work some more magic on it.
So, another few hours till the next one is done? :P

I agree with the G's, Andrew. Good competent build but needs a wee bit of 'aging' and 'abuse', especially around the stowage.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I might splash a bit more mud/dirt on it, but you have to remember this tank was/is only a few months old. Produced in April/May 1943 and I've modelled it as it would appear in July 1943. Not much time for it to used and abused. From what I've been able to find out, Das Reich wasn't involved in much action between the Third Battle of Kharkov and the commencement of Operation Zitadelle B)

www.metoffice.gov.uk/archive/monthly-weather-report-1940s it was raining, it was wet and muddy, even by train it would of got quite dirty, the railways station where it got off the train would of been surrounded in mud all the while it was raining some more :P
Now go make it dirty.............. mmmmhhh
