Tasca Sherman was created by GB
I have a few Tasca Shermans on the go at the moment - certainly the best available in plastic B)

The two closest to the paint shop are a IC and a Jumbo. Constructed using RB barrels, a mix of Voyager, Aber and ET Models photo etch, Archer casting symbols and Modelkasten tracks (Gotta love those 9 parts per link :silly: ) and a few other bits and pieces (Figure is from Alpine). Sherman 1C is destined to be a Kiwi one in Italy - will need to print my own decals. Jumbo scheme yet to be decided.

Comments welcomed :)

How you get it all so neat and tidy is a wonder to me. You must be a master solderer....

:woohoo: All I can say is, I'm so glad you're an armour modeller and not an aircraft modeller...

And pleased you like the Tasca kits too...

Yeh very nice.
The armour section of this web site is providing a lot of good reading at the moment, and lots to keep an eye on!

I think you can get some Bison Decals for Kiwi Shermans in Italy...
But if you can print your own, even better!

Nice work Gary. It's very pleasing to see these Tasca kits getting built with add-ons.

Managed to get some paint on the IC. After a primer coat, added some Lifecolor Khaki Olive Drab. The countershading on the barrel was masked before being sprayed white.
The decals for this particular vehicle don't appear to be available off the shelf and I'm experiencing some technical difficulties printing my own, so turned to my spares box. In it I found some aircraft decals with some blue bands of the shade I needed. I cut them into about 2mm wide strips and made up the vehicle number and squadron insignia. Plenty of microsol decal setting solution and they've come out better than I had hoped.....

A divisional insignia and serial patch has been added to the transmission housing. So this will represent a Firefly IC Hybrid of SHQ, A Squadron, 20th Armoured Regiment in Italy.

Onto detail painting next.
