More work on the Stuka... Preshading the upper area in prep for camo...still prolly going to winter cam it but I am going to paint it as if im not. Good chance to try some stuff..Or I may change my mind. Also Im sure they were camo before being white washed! Now that the masking is down I might some more colours to the preshading..just to see what happens..
Cheers Guys. Really enjoying this one so far..Just what I needed after the soul sucking effort on the AC-130!! First masking off without too much trouble..one minor lift but easily fixed. More preshading /colouring then on with the RLM 70. Then a gloss and into the weathering..Intention is still to cover most of this paint with winter scheme at this stage..but trying to remain flexible on that!
Have now got the rest of the camo down. On to masking up for Insignia and ID markings. Then a gloss coat.. Then decision time... Winter Camo or No? Time will tell I suppose! Either way.. I am still enjoying it!
Very nice Nos, I'd go with the winter scheme, it''ll make it different enough to really stand out, plus it will let you play with other colours and shades including light rust spots, oil stains will be more prominent etc.
More Masking! Getting there tho..ID Markings next then some touch ups and a gloss coat..Then some homework on winter camo..I have MiG washable white...Anyone used it? Gloss or semi gloss goat before hand? any advice would be appreciated!
Slow week on this last week Im afraid. Got the decals down..Good thing about masking and painting the markings is it cuts down on the decals! Started adding a bit of weathering now too...Still planning on a winter Camo but am trying to work in layers. Also pretty close to finishing the kettenkrad.. Just some touch ups to do and then some dirt and mud.I have various figures from various kits that I am thinking about also...More time at the bench would be good!
Been doing some weathering..Upper surfaces will be white camo yet but Im working on the theory that it woulda been normal camo first..Dunno how it will turn out..we will see. Still some streaks to add to the underside..there will be some dirt and mud a little later on too.. so hoping to get a start on the winter camo this week...
