With the horrible gunship primed and ready for paint I decided to get into my next build. The plan was to do a winter bird in my first attempt at a Dio for Nationals at Armistace. Unfortunately with my wifes Illness I am late getting started and doubt it will be finished in time. I am still hoping to make it to the nationals but that will also be dependent on how my wife is doing. Anyway... The kit looks good! It has a couple of quite nice figures in it which I was surprised by. I wasn't planning on using them but I am going to paint them up anyway.Good practice! I have made a start by adding some extra detail to the cockpit side walls.

I also have some Master Models Gun barrells and some RB seatbelts. Oh.. and a ZM 1/32 Kettenkrad..Not sure if that will be part of the build yet. I wont be using the Eduard self adhesive colour PE, So if anybody wants it let me know.

What the others said. The wiring brings it to life and you will see it in the Stuka cockpit too.

Looking good. I should crack on with my G2 one at some point too, they do look like they go together easily.

In Soviet Russia, Iron Curtain GB builds you!

People look at me funny when I say I own "Fifty shades of Grey". FS36118, FS36270, FS36375.....

And a little something extra I may use in conjunction with the Stuka

The extra wiring etc brings stuff to life. I really like the weathering. What is that little extra thing btw?

Sorry its been a while..Struggling to get bench time due to keeping an eye on the missus. Belts all done on the Stuka.. Added a little dirt and started putting the cockpit in so I can get the fuselage halves together.. I have also got primer and topcoat down on the Kettenkrad so I can continue with building that..Have to say I am enjoying this kit! Fits together pretty well.. few gaps and alignment issues but pretty minor stuff really.. Looking forward to getting the major assemblies together now! Anyways.. Have a nosey ...

Not sure why I hadn't worked out this was a smooth nose. Very nice. It's probably in the thread already, but are you adding tank killer guns or is this a bomber?

Bomber mate...Wouldn't mind doing the "G" Tank killer..These Hase Stuka's seem to go together well!.. You should give one a go!;) ;)

Well.. She's back on the bench! Working on the underside first.. Playing around with some preshading.. Hopefully it will look allright! If not then I will do some post shading/weathering..

I like that very much. Shows how effective preshading can be.

Great build you have there.
I must say I like all the colours you have going on the underside. I think the red brown should look really good peeking through the paint.
I didn't think I would have thought to add the colours and would jyust have gone with the grey shading but looking at yours I will have to try it out with plenty of colour.

Marcus

I started building models, then I was collecting more than I built. Now I'm more of an archivist.

Cheers Marcus.... Great thing about doing it that way is you can lay down colour in thin coats..if yer not liking it then cover completely and post shade..

That pre-shade has some great tones showing through. I particularly like the red-brown pre-shade effect. Looking forward to to seeing the top sides soon.
