Couple of hours in. Some really nice detail here and tons of parts. A bit of flash to tidy up, but nothing major.

More work on the seats last night as well as the port side of the cockpit. Will have to scratch build a couple of the levers due to the kit parts being deformed. Have created some wood panel decals and will draw up the instrument dials soon. The aftermarket parts arrived from BNA this morning.

Deformed levers replaced with brass tubing and wood glue used for the knobs.

I basically have everything for the interior primed and ready for paint, except for the canopy which still needs to be masked.

I've also created a couple of decals for the wooden floor panel.

Really enjoying this build. It's no shake and bake, but goes together well with plenty of test fitting.

Nice decals, they're very convincing. Are they photos converted to decals?

A couple of solid sessions at the bench this weekend have resulted in a lot of assembly and priming.

I haven't done any painting yet. But with a bit of luck, that will begin tomorrow night.

Haven't touched this for over a week. My next decal project is underway, I've been updating products on my new Facebook page and I just haven't been in the mood to build after long hours at work. Last night I decided to crack on with the undercarriage and wingtips. The pieces fit really nicely.

I've always found the massive wheels on these bombers quite comical

Not so comical when the break

I have build 3 of these over the years
And i would recommend to replace these with Brass or other metal pins.

Finally got some paint on her! The result of 45 minutes of spraying a base coat of German grey. Next I will apply Tamiya dark grey to add some variation. Although similar to the German grey, I'm hoping the subtle difference will be noticeable.

I might knock up the harnesses next to get them out of the way. That will take a solid few hours. Doing them at once should make it quicker than doing them here and there though.

Another big session with the airbrush tonight. German grey on a few parts I had forgotten to paint last night and blocking in the RLM 02 (equal parts Tamiya XF-22 & XF-49)

No more progress made last night. I got distracted watching Will Pattison's youtube channel. Have been watching his channel for a couple of weeks now and recommend checking it out for easy to follow tips and techniques.

Hehe, he strikes me as a bit of an interesting character. That SMCG is hilarious. Vicious, and rude, but hilarious!

Great work on the wiring. This is why I love the larger scales. You can actually do this sort of thing.

I was going to say something about SMCG and Will, Jim and to some extent Matt but I won't. In better news, those pedals look the bizzo Si!

Really happy with the way these decals have turned out. Instead of airbrushing a grey lighter than the base colour over panels, I'm using AK's Dark Grey Fading oil paint to create variation as you can see in the pic. The leather cushion is Pebeo Van Dyck brown oil.

Spent a couple of hours today painting up the control column

Very nice indeed, when I come to do mine I'll try mine over a white paint.
The little addons make the difference, watching this come together makes me want to build mine, but I must resist and finish some of what I have on the Rack of shame.
