This is going to be my next wee project. It will be a completely fictional example. A RNZAF AC-130H Gunship. So its the Italeri 1/72nd kit with some extras. I think I may even try and give it a two tone "Have Glass" Finish.Undecided on that yet.

A bit of progress on the AC-130's very sparse cockpit, Not too worried as you wont see any of it..But didn't like the open back seats so had to remedy that. Working on landing gear and prepping the fuselage at the moment..Trying to work out a plan as to how much photo etch to use..

That's the good thing about a 1/72 herc cockpit, even with a flashlight you still won't be able to see anything through the windows. What you've done will be more than adequate. Nice detailing on the panels though!

I have been pottering away with this and trying to make shrouds for the guns, Have added a lot of the external fittings and have now put the halves together.. Gap filling and rescribing!! Yay! I'm shit at rescribing! I have decided to keep the back closed. Not a great kit.. Big gaps..soft and inconsistant panel detail..but we will get there!

Is that a PE barrel set or scratch made? BIG improvement on the kit part that's for sure. Nice work so far. I wouldn't want to find myself under one of these while it was blazing away.

So I have actually rescued this from the bin..Twice... Filling....Sanding....Filling... Sanding...Ohhh Re-Scribing!.. Filling..You get the idea..this kit is not a well fitting kit...Anyways... nearly ready for primer!

have to agree, having built the Blue Angels version, probably similar molds the fit was pretty sh*t..... looking good tho mat excellent perseverance!!!
