Nice one Si! I got the same kit a couple of years back from Aus. I've got the barracuda cockpit placards for the tamiya mustang and while there are lots they do add a lot to the look of the cockpit. Still haven't build the trigger on my corsair yet either, I will wait for you to do yours and blatantly borrow (steal) your good ideas.
Last night I assembled the rear fuselage structure;
Also cut all of the remaining cockpit parts off the sprues. Also attached the bulkhead sections of the fuselage behind the pilot. The fit of these inserts is so precise, that you can't even tell that they are separate pieces. Loving it!
Update In Stash:
Lots of 1/35 Armor mainly WWII German and a few Modern British/American pieces, 1/32 Aircraft and 1/48 Aircraft. Aircraft chosen to replicate RNZAF and RAAF types through the years. Some RAF & USAF types exist also.
Sorry to hear that Si. If a kit as good as this can't get your mojo going then maybe a step back for a while until you are feeling it might be an idea. Or keep plugging away at it, to help take your mind off things.
Wowza, this is looking awesome.
Sorry to hear about the break up, I had same thing 2 years back and disappeared off the radar.
Keep going if you can, it is bloody awesome and will be good for your head space.
Cheers guys, unfortunately it all went down in a pretty ugly way. The so called 'spiritual' group she had been with and we fought hard to get her away from because they are seriously dodgy AF have somehow managed to suck her back in. They have been threatening me with legal action because the think I am making defamatory threats against them. I know exactly what they really are. I actually received another threatening email from them last night, while I was applying this wash.
Anywho, enough of that BS!
Wash made of raw umber oil and odourless turps applied, left to dry and excess removed.
