I think the wing decal is a pretty good result and about as good as I've ever been able to achieve over those vortex generators. Maybe touch up with some matching paint.
Do you still need decals? I have that kit, but am building it as the Last Skyhawk, so won't be using the decals (if I can locate them )
Thanks for that Craig. Those vortex generators are definitely hard to work around. I used Gunze 338 to touch up around the decal, it was a bloody good match. A little off, but would be hard to tell. I'll see how I go
I'll get back to you on those decals, I'll see how I go with the decal on the other intake. As I ruined the decals on the inside of the intake, I ended up painting that area instead. It's not perfect, but seems ok for now. I've attached a pic from my phone, not sure If there is a better way to do it?
Been pretty busy the last 3 months with a new 1:1 scale human joining the family, so it's been a while since I have touched this project.
Only thing I have managed to do is add the drop tank.
Still have a few small things to add like pitot tubes etc, and hopefully some ordinance.
Pics taken on my phone, so I hope the are ok.
Always enjoy your projects, matey. No exception here, the late 'M' Skyhawks always looked really 'angry' in that low-vis scheme. If it were my build, I'd go with the 'less is more' loadout, just a single 'snake' on each pylon, but don't let me influence you.
Really nice Fritz and congrats on the 1:1 addition too. Mine's almost a year old and I'm just getting back to the bench, but that has a lot to do with work too. You've done an excellent job on this this kit mate
