I started this build back in August of 2010, of a WWII P-38J Lightning.
Made by Revell, it's 1/48 in scale and was a fairly straightforward kit. I decided to paint it in green with Normandy Invasion Stripes. This was at a time when I just started using an airbrush and really had no clue what I was doing, hahaha. But I managed. Some interesting notes on this build are: It was the first time I tried scracthbuilding seatbelts (used a flat twist tie and Painter's tape, with wire buckles); I used lead fishing weights in the cowlings and nose to keep her from being a tail sitter; the Invasion Striped were hand painted, with FolkArt acrylic craft paint; and I customized it with aviation art honoring my wife, Karen.
Update In Stash:
Lots of 1/35 Armor mainly WWII German and a few Modern British/American pieces, 1/32 Aircraft and 1/48 Aircraft. Aircraft chosen to replicate RNZAF and RAAF types through the years. Some RAF & USAF types exist also.
