With the Nationals coming up and nothing pending in the Helo department from me, Hadley was feeling confident once more, so I set out to crush him and hear the lamentation of his women (yeah right). This is a yearly thing between me and Hadley, I let him get his hopes up for a win by sheer overwhelming numbers only to crush them at the last minute, it's only a bit of fun and we both enjoy it.
Anyway 3 weeks ok I started this wee beast.
Threw these sets at it
Painted it up and then added the Polish in Iraq scheme to it from Techmod
I thought I could get it done in time for the Nationals and it was touch and go to be honest, I was still working on it at 02:30 on the morning of the event lol.
Overall I'm quite happy with the finish, I think with a couple of days extra I could of done a slightly better job, it didn't help that on the Friday night when I went to remove the masks from the main rotor blades the Tamiya tape decided to dump the adhesive on to the blades. This meant I had to strip back all my hard work on the blades and repaint them from scratch.
Not sure how it would of stood up to judging if there had been more people entering but I still managed a 1st place
Here's all the work in progress shots I took, I didn't have time to do a full as built log for it.
Thanks all for looking,

Very nice work G1, I was wondering who's the big hind was when I saw the photos. Tidy PE work too! Having sat in the cockpit of one they are a huge helo, the cockpit could best be described as spacious!
