Nice work. :) Why were the codes so big on this instance?

No idea, was unique to 32 Squadron as far as I can tell.

Nice work Ian. I built one of these kits earlier this year for a person and while it is nicely shaped and detailed it has a few wee pitfalls in the construction that a builder needs to be wary of. It'll be interesting to compare notes with you in November on your build.

On the bench:
Airfix 1-48 Tiger Moth

Yep that framework and gear bay assembly is massively over-engineered, but you're correct the shape(s) are just about perfect...

Hi Ian

Great looking Hurricane. Looking every inch a Battle of Britain workhorse! Well done.

Cheers,
Richard.

Lovely Hurricane Ian, and not to detract from your grubby undersides (well executed as well) the upper surfaces are a scale delight.

How did you find the Quickboost exhausts, would you use them again?

That is a good finish you laid on it, looks like the aircraft has 'true grit'.

Marcus

I started building models, then I was collecting more than I built. Now I'm more of an archivist.

Used a lot of Quickboost extras on many projects. Never disappoint, so yep would happily recommend.
