Yeah it's got a little metal pilot and dog. The kit itself only ended up being $80 but the Voyager set for it is $120 plus shipping. I wanted the Aires cockpit but getting the Voyager all-in-1 set made more sense than getting the Aires cockpit then all the other bits seperately.

My wife calls me a curmudgeon. I haven't looked it up but I assume it means "fun loving and free spirited" or some such twaddle. I inform and perform over at www.militarymodels.co.nz and stick my oar in here as well. My passion is WWII 1/35 armour but I'm coming around to liking the odd 1/32 thing...

I got the same kit... but it didn't have the Rudel figure or his dog

I think I will be getting the Voyager set too for it... But its not on top of my list of things to do...

Hey Dean, Is this for you to build or stock for the shop! :cheer:
I have seen some of those Mini-art dioramas while looking for figures for my Kiwi Firefly but most looked to French
The one you got with the fountain would pass as Italian, do they come with a base?
or just the building & fountain?

Cheers Elliott

You got the Progres Kiwi Sherman book didn't you, is there a bigger photo of 'Tiger Lil' than in the 4th AB book?
just try to work out which track type is on the front hull,
it is wearing rubber Chevron, but the spare ones look like a metal Chevron type?

Cheers Elliott

Hey Elliott,

I've had a look in the Progress Kiwi Sherman book, and there is a about half page picture of "Tiger Lil".

Looking at the photo, I'd say they are T54E2 tracks on the front hull

Cheers

It's the whole kaboodle, base, building etc. This one will be getting made up for Model-X with a small scene on it. Take a look HERE and there's some good ones for an Italian scene including THIS ONE

No box, but since I plan on building it (honestly I do) I'm not too bothered not paying 'collectors' prices. Hopefully it's all legit but at NZ$26 it's not a huge loss if it's not.

Well it arrived today, well boxed up and all parts sealed in their original bags. Looking forward to this one, even if all the articles on the net suggest it's a bit dire when it comes to fit.

Yeah, I was kind of expecting a bidding war on it. I had a quick scout at overseas pricing and thought at that price it was a bit of me :)

I should have had a 1/32 Cyber Hobby Bf109E-4 and a 1/32 Trumpeter Bf109E-4 here right now but despite being sent as a registered package NZPost managed to "lose" it. Sometimes I wonder why exactly people pay for tracking options when it appears they don't actually bother doing all the scans they are supposed to. All they know is that it left the International Mail Centre on the 11th but after that they have no idea where it went. Surely registered mail should be scanned in and out of every vehicle and building along the way.

I just got this. First armour kit I've built (other than a 1/72 tank I dimly remember building as a kid). I think i'll build this once I finish the 190. :)

I can play.

I had a rather fun week on Evilbay earlier this month.
These all arrived the same day:

Incl. this blast-from-the-past:

and a second of this (because it was w/out box and cheap):

All that remains is the PETG arriving Monday and I'll be vac-forming canopies like a berserker.

Latest additions : The boring ones ( boring as I already have two of each - but there is a reason, I need the FlaKs for an Sd.Kfz.9 FlaK-FAMO and a Vomag FlaK 37 as well as one other possible project and the StuH42 completes one part of the StuG diorama ).

Half and half, trailer is a bit of a non event as I already have three but I have a lot of Sd.Kfz.7/2s to fit out and a Bronco Sd.Kfz.6/2 on pre-order. And the Sd.Kfz.10, I mean who wouldn't by one.

Some StuG bits from Panzer Art, some PE weld marks as I want to give them a try, and some other small bits to go in the StuG diorama pile.

And last but not least, picked up at Gordon Harris in Hamilton yesterday, 000 and a 00000 red sable brush and a Rotring 0.2mm pen. At $30 a pop the brushes aren't cheap but they are worth it when you paint figures. Ditto the Rotring which is good for doing eyeballs and insignia details.

Does the pen spread and stain when covered with clear coat? I've tried various ones before with no success.

Nope, Rotring pens are used for drafting and I've never had a problem with the ink, dries just like paint.
