If you haven't seen it already I can seriously recommend Generation Kill, it's all about the Humvee and it's use, well that and a bunch of psycho's going through the desert shooting stuff :D

I'm going to use them on my Morser Dio, along with a bunch of other bits and bobs.

Are they as bad as the Trumpeter Morser Karl figures ?

My wife calls me a curmudgeon. I haven't looked it up but I assume it means "fun loving and free spirited" or some such twaddle. I inform and perform over at www.militarymodels.co.nz and stick my oar in here as well. My passion is WWII 1/35 armour but I'm coming around to liking the odd 1/32 thing...

The seem ok, I looked at the Morser crew and I thought they looked ok as well. The heads looks good enough to use but I might replace them as I have a box of replacement resin heads.

Their poses look like they're from a Broadway musical

I've got a couple more like this plus the various technical manuals, pilots manuals and a full set of original Operational and Maintenance manuals for the B-24D (6 books covering, radios, electrical systems, weapons, hydraulics etc).

Most of those books also cover the PBY and Privateers except the early B-24 books obviously.

If Generation Kill was accurate the yanks would still be fighting their way to Bagdad, the Libyan rebels are better troops.:)

Good read here about about Afghanistan. www.rollingstone.com/kill-team Makes some of the incompetence depicted in Generation Kill seem pretty tame in comparison.

I can get back to my 1/72 Kiwi Shermans now ...

Some of those larger Yellow stars are to big for 1/72 if anyone is thinking of doing
a US Tunisian era AFV in 1/48 or 1/35

& some previous buys ...

Hey Andrew,
You got the Progres Kiwi Sherman book didn't you, is there a bigger photo of 'Tiger Lil' than in the 4th AB book?
just try to work out which track type is on the front hull,
it is wearing rubber Chevron, but the spare ones look like a metal Chevron type?

Cheers Elliott

Believe it or not I actually managed to thin it by around 15 kits first.

Your wish is my command.

Will have to do it as multiple posts though as it's 12 photos. tried to do it as a single post and it got stuck.

Just realised I had the camera set to 10mp and hadn't resized the photos so they were all around 2MB. No wonder it got stuck.

Make me an offer I can't refuse before I blow it on the Voyager uber Ju87G detail set ( now there's a classic case of the AM costing more than the kit ).

Are you two trying to compensate for something else by having large stashes? :P
