Good one Corran, I already have mine and it's sitting in the stash with the earlier F-14A release. You won't be disappointed.

I would like one before I die so no. I'll no doubt get the tamiya one, besides I highly doubt AMK can build a kit that goes together as well as the tamiya one.

Arrived this morning from BNA;

The board is dual colour with the sand grey and a dark brown (great for the light grey kits) and the new sprue clippers and the first of the Infini sanders.

Latest commission landed on the desk, after Taupo's Hobby Expo.
So I can claim it as "acquisition".

First Eduard kit.
Love the PE and resin.
Also my first 486 Sqn machine.

WIP to be posted. . .

This sort-of follows on from the Taupo Model X from a couple of weeks back. As usual, G1 and I made our lunchtime pilgrimage to Taupo Hobbies to buy 'stuff'. My shopping list was all paint, most of which I got there, however... NO AK XTREME METALS, not only that but we were told that they were very hard to get now and would be [even more] expensive.

G1 suggested I try eBay and lo-and-behold:

Six jars from Belgium arrived this morning. Total order including recorded delivery - $70.00NZD. All of which means my BAC/EE Lightning project will go ahead just as soon as the Sea Knight and F40 are off the bench.

I have been making some changes to the stash. I find my interest in the hobby has moved back towards rally/race vehicles.... a full circle back to what I was interested in and built as a kid.

So I have sold off some kits and are using the proceeds to buy some more kits and the odd bit of photo etch or some decals.

3 of the new purchases have arrived.... with more to follow soon

From good old Trademe

And from BNA

Cheers Michael

I was going to get that new Meng Jagdpanther but went with instead, saw it on TM hummed and hawwed a while before going for it.

Looks like a great kit. But the proof of the pudding, you know.

I started building models, then I was collecting more than I built. Now I'm more of an archivist.

I'll do mine as a reapers bird when I get round to getting it.
I've always loved the below photo so would probably do mine like this.

Two bobs 1/48? I love the Nellis aggressor schemes, I might even have some photos of them from when I was there.

Two packages in the one week.
One is spoiled.

One of my top three favourite senders is out of Lowestoft

The exhausts and update PE for the Monogram Tiffie, ECS ducts (late) for the Echo and Foxtrot and, finally, a seat for the 1/72 GR5 hangar queen.

Meanwhile, the A/M search-and-acquisition continues for the 1/32 Revell Spit 'barn find' -

Another box of 'goodies' from AMLA -

I'm converting the Mk IIa to a Vb for the 485 Sqn theme.
Joy of joys, there are resin cannon and wing fairings.
At GBP18 (and change) that's close to $40. Ouchies.

I found the Grey Matters wing insert first, for the underside correction. That's two items off a list of 15.
And we haven't begun on the interior A/M . . .

Regards

Rossky

I agree with Mike, very nice!

Had this turn up for my raf 100 gb Harrier, it's looking more and more like I will do ZG478 as she was in afghanistan, I also have the belcher bits rocket pods on their way and have found a 1/48 DJRP pod so I can do a proper loadout.

Ended up being only about $35 delivered but it means I have a seat, wheels, nozzles, Sniper pod and TERMA pod, both with the right pylons. And for about the same price as the nozzles and the sniper pod on it's own.

Bought this one a couple of weeks back

And last night I scored this one. It has pre-painted photoetch and figures included. Not bad for $90

Both needed for an upcoming project.

I got it from Trade Me. It's been listed for quite a while now but I was never in a position to buy it. It arrived today and I've been having a squiz. It's a shame the pilot doors are moulded closed.

Oh wow, really. Clearly I missed that one, was it in model area or somewhere else?
Yeah they are moulded shut, could cut them out if you're careful? I built one as a commission build bout 5 years ago, was an awesome kit to build
Will keep an eye out for it

It was listed here;

Home > Toys & models > Models > Military > Other

There was a buy now of $112 and the seller usually made fixed price offers of $97. $112 is still a great price when you see prices on eBay and the like.
