Latest ones, Webby needs to stop selling kits I've been hunting for for ages at really good prices.

First one, the bandai 1/35 M61a5 tank. This thing is HUGE, I knew it was big but not quite this big, it makes the same scale abrams look like a light tank (this is probably half again bigger than an abrams). This sucker reminds me a lot of the mammoth tank from Command and Conquer (I did find a couple of builds where people had used it for a base to make a mammoth tank). Also got the Mig Antiskid paste for this and all my other tanks that don't have antiskid on them already.

Decals for my Su35 I got a little while back, it was only when it arrived that I found it had the original boxing's decals in it still for the eggplant scheme. So if anyone ever needs markings for a Su35 or any flanker really then let me know.

Got these to go with either of my 1/32 f16d/i's, will need two more seats at some point but got 2 sets of the static wicks for the wings and horizontal stabs.

Arrived this morning from the 'old country'.

Don't often post in this thread unless it's something I'm really enthused about, and I'm VERY enthused about this. Won't be able to touch it for a while because of the impending house-move, but when it does hit the bench, it will be alongside the Hasegawa B-26 Marauder - a double twins build !!

BNA delivered a small test range of the new AK acrylics..

First reaction.. any doubts they are the same basis as Tamiya acrylics are removed by the distinctive smell! That said they seem like they may adhere better.

Seem very densely pigmented, covered with a brush straight onto plastic, will do some airbrush tests later today.

Dunkelgrau is dark, kind of like the Tamiya german grey but without the blue cast, and dead matt.

I look forward to the test results, these have interested me since release but I have managed to resist as I have a lot of paint already and dont want to get dragged down the well of another range with Real Color, Mission, MRP, The different Hataka's etc etc it could get very expensive.

However incredibly foolishly I neglected to get Dunkelgelb.. which happens to be the base colour I need for the current build which would have been a great test. ho hum.

Yeah I just received a couple of pots of Olive Drab variations from BNA also... To try out on an upcoming build. By all accounts they are supposed to be good.

Will make a start on this once I have finished the Skyhawk. Waiting for the c/card to clear so I can order the Aires gear bay, Master Models static dischargers and possibly the Wheeliant weighted wheels set. Undecided whether I'll get an aftermarket ejection seat as I might put the pilot figure in the pit.

I just got a couple of sets of those static wicks for my f-16's also, the master model stuff is always absolutely superb. I didn't bother with the gear bays though, instead getting seats and have just ordered a set of bulged wheels for the IDF Sufa and some quickboost gun barrel ends (has 2 in the pack so one for each f-16). Have seen others do some amazing stuff with the aires bay and I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Yeah, I'd usually go for an AM seat instead of the gear bay too, but have decided I will sit the pilot in this one and either have a closed canopy or make a dio adding the figures from my F/A-18.

I'm inclined to build this as an HAF machine and without shame admit that I am going to copy this modeller's technique because he's nailed it.

Otherwise might build as an adversary. Decisions, decisions...

Would love to see you tackle a dirty old HAF bird. Although some of the new aggressor schemes look very cool too, especially the latest splinter BDU scheme from Eilson.

Nice one on the huey too, Floyd Werner did a fantastic build of it when it first came out plus Werners Wings are doing some modern hurey resin updates for it soon so might be worth looking into that.

Yeah that's cool! I'm loving that arctic splinter scheme too. Too clean for my liking though  I do have plenty of tape at hand to mask something like that up though.

As for the Huey, I think I'll tackle it more as a quick build minus AM. Spent my allowance for this month already

Definitely go for a dirty HAF bird then.

Love all the little paint touch ups, clean and dirty sections, the different canopy tints and the soot from the vulcan.
