Out of all their kits, the Ninak appeals to me the most. Look forward to seeing you build yours.

There have been, "ahem", quite a few additions lately, but I thought I'd pop this one up to give a plug to a local shop....called into Hobby City in Mt Wellington on a whim as it is close to home and I was filling in some time. Usual Hobby City story....quiet in store, preponderance of R/C stuff, but amongst the plastic I spied this little gem.

A while back I posted a build of the Frecce Tricolori Macchi from Italeri. www.kiwimodeller.com/index.php/forum/bui...eri-macchi-mb339-pan
Not a great kit, but fantastic decals and a colourful model for the shelf. As Craig mentioned, the Italian Air Force had several aircraft used for display teams over the years, and research showed that Italeri released this boxing of 3 aircraft in the Frecce Tricolori markings to celebrate their 50th anniversary. I'd looked for one for a while, but never seen one in any of the shops either here or overseas, and sort of decided on trying to get some aftermarket decals instead. Of course, that meant trying to deal with Italian decal companies/shops and when postage was added, quite a cost.
So, I was excited to see this box at Hobby City, and even more thrilled to find it reduced from $53 to $31. Score! I figured it was worth that just for the decals, as I hadn't been impressed with the old tool, raised panel line Macchi, and figured the other kits would be similar. So when I got home and opened it up, I was again very happy to find Cartograf decals for the F86 and Fiat G91, then when I checked out the plastic the tooling looked good. Further investigation revealed the F86 to be from Academy, and the G91 from Revell....but the Macchi was the same as the kit I built. Not sure about the Fiat provenance but I also have the Meng kit which looks pretty good.
Overall a great result, and I might call into Hobby City a little bit more often in future!

Ah yes, both in my stash...well actually, I've even built the Porsche. It's a lovely kit.
And the Miura....they don't get any prettier than that!

Tru dat.... Thinking about a deep red for mine too, but with brushed aluminium wheels & skirts - the gold is just too 'Premiership Footballer' for my taste. Tan interior too, what do you think Tanja ??

Actually Ian, I'm a fan of the lime green and aluminium, but then my taste could be called questionable!
Dark red is nice too;)

Had this turn up today, I only ordered it from Luckymodel on friday afternoon and didn't even pick the fastest freight option!

Kinetic's excellent kit of the Canadian airforce 2017 demo bird. This aircraft has one of the best demo schemes ever and I was stoked when I saw Kinetic were doing a boxing of it.

When I get to this one it will be minimal weathering as this airframe is kept meticulously clean.

Wow, someone was clearing out their stash!
Good scores amongst that lot. The Academy P51B is a very nice kit.
Enjoy!

Had these 3 arrive the other day, always liked the look of the interceptor and advanced. Also thought the a wing could be a cool little kit.
