Sweet. I saw one of these in the local shop. I've just bought the AFV M40 from Andrew's Trademe listing, which I'm very excited about. I shall post a shot when it arrives.

Haha we may be waiting a while for that, we still haven't seen their StuG III Ausf G early with a MIAG pattern Zimmerit yet!

Don't get me started on waiting for their Ostwind!

You bet. I've been looking at various build logs and threads about correcting the barrel length and sorting out the right tracks for the right war etc, and I'm really looking forward to building it. I shall return to the ETO, but not just quite just yet....

It's coming.( the MIAG StuG that is ). No idea what the hold up is with the Ostwind as they already have 90% of the necessary sprues.

My wife calls me a curmudgeon. I haven't looked it up but I assume it means "fun loving and free spirited" or some such twaddle. I inform and perform over at www.militarymodels.co.nz and stick my oar in here as well. My passion is WWII 1/35 armour but I'm coming around to liking the odd 1/32 thing...

I prefer tanks, but if half tracks can be seen as trucks as well as tanks then I do rather like them as well.

Thinking of doing the same, I already use VJ for all my figures (mix in a little tamiya matting agent) where did you get the panzer VJ colours?

Got these in the mail on Saturday courtesy of Trademe.

Going to use them on an old Monogram A-18A. I was surprised how small the packet was, but, they look quite good when matched against references. Hopefully they go on alright. It won't matter for a while yet as I have to figure out how to update the prototype airframe in the kit to a production standard F-18A first. Same goes for the old Hasegawa 1/32 F-18 kit that I picked up a few weeks ago. Again a prototype kit that will need a bit of updating to production standard.

I am still trying to find some decals for this kit. I prefer building machines that have seen action rather than prototypes, but, I baulked at the thought of $200 plus for a piece of plastic. These old kits are a good way of getting large scale models if your budget is modest B)

I mainly build things that fly; mostly post-war jet fighters. My favourites are Phantoms and Eagles.
On the bench:
- Hasegawa 1/48 F-8E conversion to Marines F-8K - no AM stuff other than Microscale decals
- Revell 1/32 F-4E with True Detail seats

These arrived in the mail yesterday from Sprue Brothers Models

They look pretty good when compared to references.

Now I can start on my Revell 1/32 F-4E Phantom II :)
