Has the postman visited you today? Did he bring you anything nice?

Post up pics of your new kits, tools, reference books etc

I'll get the ball rolling with what the courier dropped off to me today

My wife calls me a curmudgeon. I haven't looked it up but I assume it means "fun loving and free spirited" or some such twaddle. I inform and perform over at www.militarymodels.co.nz and stick my oar in here as well. My passion is WWII 1/35 armour but I'm coming around to liking the odd 1/32 thing...

The AFV Club T34 looks particularly nice. Full interior and all. I can't read the writing, does that include an engine? Nice Finemolds Tie fighter too.

Yes can well understand your needing will power on that. I have the AFV Mk III to build, but am enjoying a few repairs on other things first.

I think you have more important things to do than that Mk.IV at the moment. So, rather than have it sit gathering dust on your shelf, perhaps I could assist ;)

A vendor I buy from supplied me an incorrect kit. Rather than returning it, I got it at a discounted price B)

I'll second that! I don't think that there's anyone out there today that delivers the same quaility as Tasca n' their Sherman range in 1:35...

This arrived in the mail this week.

By building this, and planning to throw a little AM at it, I'm hoping another manufacturer will release an up to date version (I'm aware of the LionRoar version, but am not paying out US$60 plus delivery)

I've got a small dio planned out using this along with a AFV Club Sd.Kfz.11/4 Nebelkraftwagen

Certainly needs an update. This has been around for quite a while now. Looking forward to the build.

I believe I still have some nice photos of these from when I used to work on the Farnborough Airshows in the UK, I used to get special passes etc which gave me good close ups etc. If it's the one I think it is I have one that is in a nice Turquoise colour scheme. Will stick one up here (so to speak) and if it is a Mig 29 I'll add the rest to the image library.

That would be cool. Just a quick look through the kit, and first impression is that it is BIG. How big must the 1/32 Flanker kit be?

I've had a couple of arrivals in the past week.

Firstly, some much needed reference material

I brought this kit as a donor to correct some issues for my Dragon StuH 42 w/Zim

At least I get a second tank after taking the required parts

So is this a Mig-29? I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Russian Fighters (and a heap of other stuff :P )

I've got a couple more of this one if you want them.

Used to love being at Farnborough on trade days, there were hardly any people wandering around and you could get up close to the exibits.

That's an Su-34 Fullback, a fighter bomber development of the Su-27 I think.

See I don't even know the difference between a Sukhoi and a Mig, I know it went vertical (got a picture of that) which is pretty rare or was back in 97 much to the distaste of the US government. Still she's a nice looking bird.

Yeah, the modern Russian jets look awesome, especially in some of the more exotic schemes they get painted in by the former Soviet counties. Much better than the wall to wall grey of most American jets.
