I've found some on the Scale Link website, but before I order I'm wondering if there are any cheaper options.
I would prefer brass, but either woven or photoetched would work

The local model shop in Wellington doesn't seem to have anything, so should I try TradeMe, EBay, another shop in another city or what? :hairpull:

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Rick

Your local electrical wholesaler should have brass gauze used to wrap flex cables before they're crimped. Come on a pack of three and should be $10 ish

Not sure if that pic will show up. Trying to post from phone. Otherwise I can email you the photo of the packet

I need to find some brass for the floor of the Tiger II turret. This mesh looks a good solution for you.

Rick and Bishop PM me your addresses. I'll send you a sheet each. I've had that pack for years and only opened it to show

Kerry, that's very kind. I'm actually after non-slip tread pattern rather than mesh, but thank you for the offer.

Kerry, I did manage to find some cheaply out of OZ:

www.bnamodelworld.com/

a sheet 110 X 70 mm with 1 mm squares for about $12 shipped. And you can credit their KiwiBank account direct!! :cheer: :cheer:

But, if the offer still stands, I wouldn't mind taking you up on it? It never hurts to have options... :)

Cheers

PS - Bishop, try the Evergreen or Plastruct stand at your hobby shop - I found some that I'm calling close enough for around the $10 mark.

You could always use brass mesh over a plastic sheet, paint some liquid glue on it and then pull the brass off, it will leave an imprint of the mesh in the plastic which you can then gently sand down until it's the desired effect.

 Bishop - just passed my (failing) mind - were you after 1/16th scale tread plate ?, if so I have some laying around (plastruct, say's 1/24th but it's way too big for that scale).
I'll drag it out a take a photo (with ruler) to see if it's suitable.
