lol yeah I was thinking the same.
We added a new category because of you........... ;)
We've included "Figures 54mm and under" to cater for "Wargaming" figures, Warhammer etc has a huge following and I think it would be good to see more figures and armies on display.

Can I ask why in the 100 years of the tank the single gun rule is there? A number of the early tanks had two guns mounted of the same calibre which rules these out? Also twin or multi barrel AAA tanks.

Because I felt like it................. I wanted to clarify that it was to be a tank and not an AA gun or LAV etc.
I wanted the entries to be succinct and not have to go through loads of, but it's got a gun, I know it's got wheels etc or we end up with a fooking Hilux truck with a Wombat Anti tank gun strapped on the back ;)
So, it's a tank by my definition that has a single main gun and has tracks, it doesn't have 4 doors, wheels and a bunch of Hajis hanging off the back :D

Ok a bit of clarification, (here we go it's started :) ) if it wouldn't look out of place in World of Tanks, its a tank. i.e. a Bren Carrier or a LAV wouldn't work so well and no this doesn't mean 155 Long Toms are fine just because they are in WoTs. Use your common sense, if it looks like a tank and fights other tanks, it probably is a tank (we can always say no). ;)

We're thinking of separating the pure display stuff a bit more and possibly have them the non compo stuff down stairs so if you kind folks could see it in your hearts to bring anything and everything and make this a big display or at least larger than last year would be great.
I've just had one of the railway displays pull out, usual excuse, "oh I forgot I had double booked" even though they confirmed early in the year. So we're going to have lots of space doing nothing which won't look good for us getting the big hall for the Nationals next year. So if you know anyone who displays things like RC trucks, cars, Model Railways, etc please put them in contact with me.

Having the wife & kid in the car with me will hamstring the amount of display stuff I can bring this year but I'll do my best to get as much in the car as possible. Although we may have our SUV by then which will solve that problem.

Nice, thanks Dave really appreciate the support you guys and MA give us each year.
I know it's a long way for most people to come from Auckland but it's worth making the effort and it's for a good cause (the hobby).
If anyone knows any other organisations or groups that would be willing to put on displays happy to provide them free spaces and tickets etc.

Hey Gary, Its looking more and more like I may only be able to do a day trip this year.. I can still bring a few kits through on the Sat morning but would have to take em home with me late Sat arvo..Would that be acceptable? Shame..was going to enter the comps too! Are you doing a kit sales table this year to donate to KM Funds?

More than happy to add to displays during the weekend starting Friday with more kits arriving with me on Saturday, it will just mean a couple of trips to get things home on Sunday afternoon but that's not a big deal.
Whole lot easier than dealing with the Dragon DS tracks that came with the Sherman 3 now binned and waiting for an after market set!

Hey Corran, Absolutely you can, bring what you can and just take it if you need to go. Oh and the competitions should be done by the time you go on the Saturday. Judging is from 12:00 I believe (I could be wrong, Steve can confirm).
Mark, anything you can bring will be gladly received and we will find a fitting home for it to be displayed.
Thanks folks, keep them offers coming :)

Well I can cross off science fact from my list. WIP Moon lander just took a high speed impact into the dark side of the mancave and all traces of its existence have been purged.

Lance Whitford and myself are both planning to be there for the weekend, and while I can't volunteer Lance for judging (even though he has done lots of it in comps in the past), I will make myself available.

I'll also bring one entry myself, which will rule me out of judging 1/48 Jets (and possibly a 1/72 Tank, with a gun, if I get it finished).

The only possible fly in the ointment is that I have a work trip to Singapore coming up, but don't have dates yet. Fingers crossed here, that it's not the week either side of Armistice.

BTW, I have confirmed Cambridge next year for IPMS Nationals, at the AGM in Alexandra last weekend. I presume nothing has changed in that regard? Will discuss with Gary et al at AiC. There are quite a few from deepest south planning on making the pilgrimage to AiC next year.
