We'll be there doing our bit to help promote the hobby, it's mostly about Model Railroading but there's also a few other hobby stands there worth taking a look at.

He's just Trolling because of an issue with tables at Model-X,
We'll get what we get, the tables are free but someone has to pay for them so we make the most of what we get on the day. ;)

Tempted to make the trip up.
Last time we had to deal with unusually low snowfall from Taihape right the way up so may wait and see what the weather does.
Its a good lil show that the wife didnt mind attending due to the other crafts etc on display.

I think you mean phone to confirm, that I have received the confirmation letter to confirm that I have received the package that I responded to and got confirmation of...............
Which in reality is pretty much how the Model-X Auckland process went.

New dogs :D
Its all confirmed, we have 8 Tables to fill.
They also sent me exhibitor passes, setup is from Friday 13:00 through to 21:00 and doors open to the non public on Saturday 08:00 - 10:00, and Sunday is 09:00 - 10:00 for setup purposes.
I have 8 passes you won't be allowed in to the hall without one, I'm guessing that if you are with a partner so long as one of you has a pass the other should be ok.
If you want to PM me your addresses I'll get your pass out ASAP or you can just send me or one of the others a Text on the day and we'll come get you, the latter option might be a better idea for those who aren't helping out for both days.

Hadley, not sure how cheap but the Spa Hotel is about 500m from the AC Baths and they have cabins might be a good place to try. oh and they have a Bar :cheer: and restaurant

Just trying to get an idea of what everyone is bringing to Taupo to put on the display tables. I'm trying not to bring the whole "Travelling Model" show as car space is a premium because I've got to take a big dog carrier to bring my new fur babies home in.
So can you all say roughly how much in table space (1.8m x 500mm approx) you can fill just to give me an idea.
Chris Foesboy has said he can bring the "Big Brown Box" but I'd rather not if I don't need to.
Cheers
G

Usual for me - One AFV on a plain base, three or four recent finishes including the big Thunderbolt, but no bases. What time is the hall open until, Gary ? - we won't be able to leave here until 1430 at the earliest so won't be in Taupo until around 1800.

Hall is open on Friday from 13:00 until 21:00.
They're quite tight on security so they won't let you in with out a pass but you got my number so just txt me and I'll either leave a pass out for you or I'll be there myself.
Same goes for the rest of the weekend, I've only got 8 passes so we might have to see about getting some more from the organisers. I believe all those that are helping out have my number by now but if not just flick me PM.

if thats the table size i'd say i'll only need half.

If it's of help Gary if you can pack some models in the dog box to bring down you could leave some here to pick up next time you're down or i can bring them up to AiC as long as you pack them in one of your carry boxes so i don't have to handle them and risk breaking one

All boxed-up ready to go... weather permitting. I know the South Island is really snowed-in, but we're getting it too. Severe Weather Warning in for Taranaki, and there's part of SH3 heading north where it goes down to nothing more than a goat-track (no I'm not kidding).

HOPE to see y'all tomorrow evening.
