First show on the agenda is Model-X Auckland this is the Queens birthday weekend and the show is on the 3rd, 4th & 5th of June in Henderson at the Aquatics center. I'll be there on the Saturday and Monday manning the IPMS Waikato tables, if anyone wants to catch up and say hello.
Next up is Taupo Model show, this is always a favorite of mine, it's mostly model railway stuff but it's a nice friendly atmosphere and its set in a nice town with a vibrant atmosphere. I'll be there and I know a number of other regulars will be to.
Dates are 15th & 16th July, and it's at the Taupo Baths.
Most important (to me that is) is the Armistice in Cambridge show and model competitions. November 11th & 12th at the Lake Karapiro Domain
I'll do another post when it's all been made official and we know exactly what to expect. This year is the 100th anniversary of the introduction of tanks and all I'll say for now is that it is intended to be the biggest collection of running tanks and armour seen in NZ for many years.
On top of that this is the year before we host the Nationals so I'm hoping for a maximum effort from our members here, I need to show the "brass" that we warrant the extra space I'm hoping to get for the Nationals in 2018.
So if you're in the middle of the North Island or want come along and say hello, I'll be the fat bstard chunky handsome guy with the KM Baseball cap.

Just bringing this back to the top - Can we have the pre-show model registration forms again. Saves a h*ll of a lot of time on the Saturday morning.
Yup its all there from last year, just need to reset the database and its good to go.
I've farmed a bit of the work out from previous years, this year helping out in an official capacity are Chris aka Foesboy he's looking after the vendors so if you're looking to setup shop let Chris know, that's with the exception of MA as I like to give Dave the personal touch.................. (be scared)
Stormtrooper Steve is looking after the compos, he's also going to be organising the trophies and ribbons as such as well this year, so again if you'd like to help with the judging get hold of Steve, we're hoping that our regular judges will be available again this year, Ian and Steve (aka Viperbuilder) are the first to pop in to my head (its scary having Ian in my head).
Just to confirm, I will there for the cause again this year on the Kids build table and the Judging table. My accommodation is booked and I'll be there from Friday avo through to close of play on Sunday.
I've been pretty busy with other things this year so my appearance on KM has been pretty patchy to date, but I know where my November priority is.
