Not that I have enough GBs on my plate

But I'll be in, Trademe auction success dependant, with a 1/35 Japanese Type 97

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

Sounds good... I got one as well the later version with the longer 47mm gun. Good luck with the auction.

Cheers

Two things:

1: I suggest renaming this to 'Minor Nations AFVs' or something. The title should reflect the contents, and 'Tanks' is way too broad, and also too narrow as other AFVs should be allowed I think.

2: You need to be specific about how original to the nation they need to be.. a heck of a lot of stuff is based at least in part on imported earlier designs I would think. I was looking at my chinese and italian tankettes.. but they are based on the carden lloyd so I guess not.

1. 'Tanks' was only ever a working title. But it lets everyone know what it's roughly about (if they read the blurb) . Minor nations while a 'good' idea doesn't really cover nations such as Japan, Italy, France which aren't really minor even from a AFV development perspective.

How about there's more to armour than Tigers GB....

2. I think I had been reasonably specific on that point. What I said was....

"I think to keep a level playing field if a lesser nation built a version of a design for example a Chinese type 59 this wouldn't be allowed as it's a derivative of the T54/55."

So by reasonably logical extension if you have an Italian 'tankette' that is a copy or licence built version of a Carden Loyd design then it wouldn't be allowed.

It's like Frau turning-up at a party in a very expensive designer dress and finding her friend is there in the same outfit... I just won a Type 97 on TM for $36.50 including postage so I'm in too... (although I'll not be buying tracks or a barrel). Hey, here's something for you, Andrew:

Even with just a few of us, there's no reason not to get a start-up date, duration etc...

As you were folks... kit arrived today missing all the turret parts, all of Sprue D and some pieces of Sprue C. Contacted the seller immediately and sorted it - full refund on the way as this is written. So, do I try and find another or look for something completely different ???, honestly I don't know, but I'll let you know when I've found something and it's sitting in front of me !!

I may just do that friend, will be a few days though, as far as I know the Awakino Gorge is still blocked by landslides, and next week Daddies Female Stormtrooper is at Camp for four days so I need to be on QRA in case she falls off the flying fox or gets stuck in a cave or summat...

Powder - you just made my day, brilliant matey !!

Thanks for the links Ian.

I won a set of the Vision tracks on ebay for just under $30

I got the Eureka barrel and cable set, but have to get in touch with Hobbyeasy, as some of the resin parts got broken in transit
