Group build update, March was created by Grant
There is so much going on now that I'm finding it hard to keep track of where everyone is at with their group build entries. I though maybe it would help to have a periodic group update. Where are you at? What are you stuck on? What have you abandoned completely?

I've finished two of the current group builds:

I have two on the go:

And I think I abandoned the Helicopter build because I sold the kit to K2. I'm thinking of getting a large scale chopper instead though. Maybe on of the big Trumpeter Helos.

I think I joined the Helo, Behind the Iron curtain GB and the Desert storm GB's. But being rather time poor as well as trying to finish my other projects, I haven't started anything yet :( I really need to pull finger and start something. :S

In Progress:
Tamiya 1/48 F-117A
Hasegawa 1/48 TA-4K
www.kiwimodeller.com/index.php/forum/38-...zaf-1-48-ta-4k-build

Completed:
Hasegawa 1/48 A-4M

hmm... Also feel as though I have chewed off more than I can swallow lol.

So far:

Starwars - AT-ST - complete
Desert Storm - Still deciding - 1/700 Missouri or 1/48 Apache or 1/48 Cobra
Heli - Still deciding - 1/48 Huey, 1/48 Apache/Cobra
Nascar - Hudson Hornet - Almost done, maybe another week - Up to the body painting, and finishing
Built to Race - Real basic F1 car - Shouldn't be too hard to build up.
F-14 - This one scares me a bit, but haven't started yet
Sci-Fi - Mad Max car - Will start this one a little later, due to the number of car builds I have done lately (3 in a row)

Pretty sure that's all I've signed up for... lol

I've finished my 'Iron Curtain' MiG 17.
My 'ODS' T-72 is 80% done - I've been pushing this along as I think it has the closest close-off date - just waiting on some more diorama bits to arrive.
My 'Built-to-Race' Kremer Porsche is on hold waiting for some Dunlop decals that I think might have been sent surface mail from Europe - why? I don't know

I've plans to enter the 'WW1', 'Sci-Fi' & 'Nascar' builds once my T-72 and my non-GB Beaver are done - the 'purchasing phase' is over for these GBs. :)
K2 might be able to help with my 'Sci-Fi' build judging by his avatar ;)

I'm all over the show at the moment :silly:

I'm hoping to get into the model room to start building tonight

Here is a list/update of where I'm at

Sci-Fi - Currently semi abandoned  struggling with motivation.
WWI GB - Kit purchased, hoping to get on bench tonight.
F-14 Tomcat GB - 1/48 build - Awaiting a package inbound from BNA with cockpit PE and canopy masks. Still need to sort paint
ODS GB - Tamiya M1025 HUMVEE ordered and currently in transit from Japan to NZ
Behind the Iron Curtain GB - T-55A kit arrived, awaiting detail sets and tracks from BNA, PE screens and tow cables inbound from Poland
NASCAR GB - Kit decided, awaiting funds to purchase
Helicopter GB - Kit decided, awaiting funds to purchase
Built to Race GB - Kit decided, need to tune  final plan/details and purchase

I should be efficient and make a chronological chart to keep myself on track, but as my late mum used to say, I'm a great believer in the saying "Tomorrow never comes!"

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

So will it be 1/72 scale on the outside & 1/48 scale on the inside? :)

F-14 Tomcat GB - on hold. Plan to finish Desert Storm builds before carrying on with anything else
Helo GB - same status as for F-14 GB. Once DS GB done, this will be next cab off the rank.
Sci-Fi GB - X-Wing will likely not happen for the GB as the replacement canopy from Bandai has the same issue as the current one.
Desert Storm Anniversary GB - Jag and AV-8B both progressing very well and nearly at paint stage. Need to update the threads with some progress pics

On The Bench
Hasegawa 1/48 OA-4M Skyhawk conversion
Hasegawa 1/48 A-4M Skyhawk

Sci-Fi GB - Waiting for MA to get the small scale figures.
Star Wars GB - Not decided which kit to do yet.
WWI GB - Made a start on a WnW Sopwith Snipe (I think it was a Snipe).
F-14 Tomcat GB - Ordered some PE and resin for my 1/32 F-14B might make a start in the near future
ODS GB - M1A1 in progress, stalled a bit as I've lost interest for the time being, might throw something else in as well yet.
Behind the Iron Curtain GB - Su-27 stalled/lost interest as the interior is the wrong colour and can't be arsed to fix it. Got hold of a Mig 29A, got some resin and PE on order for this.
NASCAR GB - Yeah Nah, probably not going to happen.
Helicopter GB - Yeah Nah, probably not going to happen.
Built to Race GB - Have a couple of nice cars in the stash I'm toying with making a start on.

Also actively working on
Classic Airframes 1/48 Supermarine Walrus,
Bronco 1/35 Versuchsflakwagen Fur 8.8cm Flak.37 Auf Sonderfahrgestell (Pz.SfI.IVc)
1/350 USS Arizona
Tamiya 1/35 M-41 Patton

Currently working on the B1 bis, also planning a flak 88 dio of sorts which that and my other hobby has eaten into my funds quite heavily
And I really need to start on the long tom conversion as I'm really hoping to get it finished for granddads birthday in May and so far I've made the barrel for it and that's it.

GB my list is shorter than most but it's a case of whether I get round to building them in time with the other projects I'm doing

F-14 Tomcat GB - The Idol M@ster Azusa Miura F-14D Tomcat - Got the kit, but am waiting on funds for some of the extras for it
Built to race GB - Toying with building the GT3 Z4 but I don't know, also tempted to get the nendroid to stand next to it when built as a sort of mascot but I'm not sure

My little corner of the internet

Behind Iron curtain build: Su-15 is a day or two from being finished now.
Desert Storm build: Having second thoughts about doing the Italeri Tornado now, and am considering doing the tanker that I recently got from Grant instead.
NASCAR build: I'm 50/50 on this at the moment and don't wont to commit to it, only to change my mind at the last minute.

The rest of the current builds are interesting, but my attention span is all over the place at times and changes from week to week
I may participate in the others if time and interest permits.

I put my name down for sci-fi, ww1, and racing car. Since then I have a lot less free time due to work commitment looks likely to continue this year.
My sci-fi project is sitting quietly on pause, but it will definitely be complete by end date..
Sopwith Pup is sitting in box un-started..
I don't have a kit yet for racing car GB and will probably take my name off that one...

Built to Race GB. I'm well into my DAP Kart. Hope to finish it in the coming months
ODS GB. I'm making a Hasegawa F-117A, and hope to pick up the pace when I finish my Handley Page Hampden (my first aircraft build for close to 40 years). I'm actually keen to make a 1/72 Jaguar for the ODS GB as well to get a bit more building and painting practice before tackling...
F-14 GB. Two kits lined up here, either/or a 1/72 F14A and a 1/32 F-14D.

Not the biggest list of things to make in the world, but given work and family commitments and our house that is perpetually in need of constant maintenance, I'll be stoked if i can get all of them finished by years end, let alone by the time the GB finish dates roll around.

Life stress has caused a complete stop to the hobby for me at the moment. Hopfully it will be over soon, and when it does, here's what I have planned
Behind the Iron Curtain - The BTR-80 is 90% done. Just weathering and final little parts of assembly.
ODS - Have the F-15 waiting for when the BRT-80 clears the bench
F-14 - Finished the Egg plane. Next will be a 1/48 Hasegawa "D" which I'll do in a stow away position for space sake
Born to race - I have a Porsche Jagermeister kit which will be OOB.

Kane
On the Bench - Tamiya 1:48 F-117

Lots of interesting projects on the go amongst the KM family ;) .

Just trying to remember what I'm working on - 6 drawers of the work bench are allocated for GB's so  :

Behind the Iron Curtain - Mi-1M Helo @ 72nd. Just started.
Built to Race - Ferrari 312T2 Caricature. Master pattern done, most of the chassis parts done, just have to vac-form the body.
Sci-Fi & Fantasy Group Build - Steampunk Steam Car @ 35th. Temporarily stalled but restarting very soon. About 1/2 done.
World War One Group Build - Still deciding on a suitable project so unstarted.
Operation Desert Storm - Pulled the plug due to .........................

So best I clear my mind and get stuck into some serious bench time :) .

"No, I didn't lose my mind. It got scared and ran away"

On the Bench:
Scratch - Steam Car
Scratch - Santa's sleigh
Scratch - EggCopter Ka-26
Scratch - EggPlane !
