My feeling now is - if Gary is co-ordinating this GB with a particular or 'themed' event in Waikato in November - Armistice Day? - then Gary make some suggestions (perhaps based on what has been posted here) which best tie in with that event. In other words, make it a multi-choice question upon which members can vote.
Also, based on G1's last post, I now consider myself to belong to a very good online modelling forum for which I pay a small annual subscription. I reckon it's damn good value too.
My preference - WW2 RNZAF & Pacific Theatre, Allied & Axis, ETO, Mediterranean, AFV & figures
I enjoy doing research

Thanks for the vote of confidence Wally, I don't want people to think that it's all about the Armistice event, I'm just trying to tie it for those that do come down or up to the event. They can then bring their entries along and enter them in to the competition in November and maybe win some nice prizes.
I try to run a good value site but it's all getting a bit much and I think I need a hand to be honest, look out for a post asking for volunteers to give up some free time in the near future.
Hey Wally, the idea here is to do exactly what you suggest.
All ideas for next GB to be submitted here by the 10th I think it was. Then we all get to vote, just like the North Africa one. I think there are quite a number of concepts already suggested in this thread. It would seem that most are OK with the general "Pacific theatre" idea, but lets see how the voting goes.
Gary, you also have my vote of confidence. This forum is superb and a great way of keeping us Kiwis in touch with one another, no matter the genre we model in.
I think that those of us that participate here get great value and I consider it a privelege to be part of it. My hand is waving should you need help that I am capable of giving.

Hmmmm, now there's an Idea. TWO Group Builds going on. One for those really keen on the military stuff and another for them that's into the automotive arena. I would image that there are sufficient numbers from both camps to make that happen. Same time frame for both to run as well. Wadda yuh reckon folks?
Just putting it out there

Here is the list of ideas that our intrepid members have offered for the next Group Build.
Flammin' brilliant every one of them. In light of G1's particular focus on Armistice in Cambridge I'm sure those keen to be involved with that event will vote appropiately. This is not the place to vote though. Lets just check out all that's been offered while G1 puts it up for a vote. Tnere may need to be some refinement of the list so maybe a multilayered vote to tune down the list. Just puffin' in the ether here.
Here's the list for thinking caps yuh all . . . I offer my thanks for all the contributions here
