There's a number of Staff car type of kits, Citroen, Daimler etc, I know there's a number of 1/48 kits out now that depict services vehicles, trucks etc. I've got a Bronco 1/35 Staff car and another Resin one from another company that I forget both are nice examples. You could do a Dio of a General being driven around (like in the start of Battle of the Bulge).
I built a Quad gun tractor, I think this is a nice vehicle and was widely used in both Theaters.
My advice would be to have a nose around the big manufacturers web sites.
Tamiya, Bronco, Dragon, Academy etc there are some really nice civillian wartime kits out there.
There was a nice WWII Fire Engine on TM a wee while ago, probably not used in either theaters but you get the gist of it.

As Gary has mentioned, there are a large number of Staff Cars in all sorts of shapes and sizes and many of these are available in 1/35th scale too. (Fancy That :woohoo: ) In fact, many of the best versions are in that scale. There are also a huge number of truck varieties in 1/72nd, 1/48th and 1/35th scales. And why not consider some form of half track. The Germans and US used them in both theatres with the germans having a large variety to choose from including a half tracked truck, the "Maultier". And then there are scout cars and armoured cars used by both sides in both theatres also. And of course there are Jeeps, jeeps and jeeps. A large number of choices. Check out the "Toys and Models - Models" section of TradeMe or BNA Model World in OZ which will have your kit to you within 10 days or why not try Model Crafts and Hobbies in Wello. or hit up these folks here for something available in thier stash

Go on, give it a whirl ...

David

found a kit in the stash and ordered the decals last night (I like the colours - see below for one of my previous builds)

unsure if I will get anything else for it (may try to modify the prop myself and will have to scratch the top intake - might look at getting a figure as well)

The decal sheet will give me the chance to "add" as well ;) - this will be my first foray into the land of the 1/48tth scale for aircraft

anyways heres one I completed (1/72) earlier on in the year and as I said I love the colours/schemes of the North African campaign

cheers

Shaun

cant wait til November - just have to clear the rest of the stuff from the bench now
