Just like to say a public thank you to Grant for his generosity. The fit is not too bad just needs a bit of surgery.
This is a great community of modelers the support both through encouragement and help for parts is amazing , i have spares and I am also happy to help!
Just want a wee bump to say thank you again to grant for his generosity on the donated canopy the quality of which has made me look around for the Tamiya F-117 in 48
finished the model with major surgery needed for canopy to blend, and my post shading hasn't shown up so well after the matt coat.... time to stop flogging a dead horse, back of the shelf as i wait for the Tamiya!!!
Thanks again grant at least i got a finished model done.
Looks good! I did Academy 1/72 one... Would also like to do the Tamiya one. Interesting trying to do the paint job on them i found..I ended up using some tips from flory's build. There is one on Trade me at the moment..but I'm on a " No new kits" period at the moment.
Thanks Nos, i did an SR71 a few years back and really liked the post shading effect i got then, i think the flat coat (which is really good Vellejo) just dulled it back more than i expected so you can only see it in some lights.... like i said time to stop working on it.
I'll go check out flory's build deffo want to built the Tamyia one now... will save up.
Nice stuff mate. I actually have a 2nd Tamiya one since I bunged up the first. Well, bunged up the paint and decals. Really tossing up if I should start again or find some decals and rescue the almost complete one. Part of me wants to build it again since it was such a nice build, but if I could find some decals I would be happy to sell my new one
