The 1/35 Academy armour reboxings are interesting in a local context...

Holdsons will be distributing the same kits in an Airfix boxing as Brignan’s in an Academy box...

The new tool 1/72 Buccaneer should interest a few, if even for the hope that a 1/48 will follow.

Buc and the Stuart take my interest, depending on the markings in the Stuart.

I thought the Heron looked interesting, but scalemates reveal that tooling dates from 1959!

Is that confirmed? Surely they wouldn't push out something THAT antiquated. Surely.

The Heron is a nice kit. The Heron, Jetsream and Dominie T.1 all fetch good money on e-bay so the demand is certainly there for them.

A large chunk of the new releases are old tools dating from the 60’s and 70’s as part of the Airfix classics range...

The 1/35 stuff appears to be Academy.

The F4/F5 hunter is my personal favourite along with the reissued Sea Vixen...

Well yes it's confirmed scalemates dates it to 1959.

Well, scalemates is a good site but they say 'Rebox (Unknown what changed' so I guess the base kit is likely the same.. just seems a bit of a nerve to push out 60 year old kits!

Buccaneer and MiG-17 are welcome additions for me. I'll wait for the RAF Op Granby release of the Bucc - I'm in no hurry for one.

Hopefully, new 1/72 Jag and Tornado will follow one day too.
