Hi all
As we are probably going to stay pretty small for the time being at least I think it woulld be nice to add the names of the latest members and welcome them. This hopefully will break the ice and you can stop by and say hello yourself.

Hey Tony, you know you're alway welcome and always will be.
Following on from the tradition I've started I guess I should say hello to the following new members.

Clif - Angels49
Alan - LDSModeller
Keith - Allok
Antony - RotorheadTX
Jim - James H

Hey we welcome Yanks as well as anyone else who wants to throw their hats in and be part of the site (we also except trousers, panties anything really (except male G-Strings or that outfit Borat wears)) , just remember there are really only two rules here (the management reserve the right to change this to 200 :P ).
1 - Be nice
2 - Remember it's only a hobby
Cheers

Hey Glen, erm about 140 something, yeah I got slack when we started getting loads of new members so I let the tradition slide under the carpet :P

They eventually gravitate to the 'better' site, don't they, though?

Still, I'm puzzled why it's the "Welcome, Matt" thread when anyone can join in . . .
;)

Hi my name is Ray username Bitzer from Ranui Auckland. I have been modeling for a lot of years (approx 40 years of an on). I like making military mostly Tanks with the odd plane and boats. Also I do Cars 1/24 and 1/25 plus trucks. When I make tanks I like doing figures as well in 1/35th scale. I am also into Model Railways and Radio acontrol Cars (of road). Tamiya kits are my prefered brand but I do most other brands if I find something interesting. I am lucky as my Wife likes making Star Wars / Space (Saturn 5 etc) / Prehistoric Animals and handpaints them. My youngest daughter likes making of road 4wd vehicles which I spray for her. This means that we get to go to a lot of model shops (What there are) and we have quite a stash still to make. I buy a lot of things from Mighty Ape / Rc Hobbies / Modelair / Plastic model/RCNZ / plus I keep an eye on whats on internet. My skill level is what I call average but always trying to do better. Dragon and Tamiya 1/16 scale figures are a favourite to make but the eyes are a problem I have. I use Vellajo and Tamiya paints mostly for spraying and hand painting.

hey we should keep this going,

Kane (1) and Xtr3meNZer (blackball represents) kitmodellernz , grant ....kiwimav.... in AmeriKAH the last time i remember...
bishop, andrew, ian, phil, 135th batt ...say hi

I'm Flying_Kiwi aka Lucas
I work in nerdy IT and have had a quick and very unsuccessful brush with the RNZAF, when i'm not being a nerdy IT guy and melting plastic i go flying from Kapiti Aeroclub, if you live locally and have your life insurance paid up let me know we could go flying.

My favorite modelling subject is anything with Props, anything really, mostly WW2 but i do also like my US jets...ok anything with wings,... my lottery win plane would be the P-51D mustang, i'd probably kill myself in it but at least i'd be happy.

So there,....hi. love this place, some really talented people here.

<edit> oh and thats me fueling the plane in exotic westport, i also give Hadley some shit because he flies unstable death machines,...aka helicopters, but i guess pilots is pilots.

Hey Lucas...aka Flying_Kiwi...just a friendly FYI mate
Dave aka kiwimav has been back in good ol Aotearoa since late September 2016 lolz. I now reside in Palmerston North.
Unfortunately, I have started up an American Style BBQ & Grill, Godfrey's BBQ & Grill is the name here in the Rose City and my modelling intentions have gone on hold as I have little to no time on my hands to get into the hobby and do i justice, well, not yet anyways. My stash I had accumulated whilst living in the USA and all my goodies I had shipped back here and is currently all boxed up and in storage. But I do visit you all and look at all the fine work everyone does and gotta say makes the fingers itch.
Merry Christmas.

Dave
