These bloody courier clowns!

This is the second time in a row that NZ Couriers have missed their delivery target when I've ordered from Mighty Ape. Last time it took over a week for my package to arrive. I just want to clarify, I am in no way blaming Mighty Ape. Just pisses me off that a same city delivery takes this long... especially when it contains items crucial to my sanity (modelling stuff :silly:)

Now where's my coffee!

I think MA should open a warehouse in NZ largest inland City aka Hamilton (and you thought it was just moo cows that lived in the Waikato :P )

We know that only moo cows and mad poms live there

I feel the pain with couriers. And guess what it is NZ Couriers again. I sent a packet to Auckland two weeks ago from Palmerston North and it took 6 days to get to the AK depo and two attempts to deliver to the door

Smile and wave

I don't actually live in Hamilton but if there was a Mighty Ape store there would at least be something worth going there for ;)

I think the Monkey should open a store in Wellington so I could go there and purchase stuff instead of having to pay courier fees for shipping and waiting for associated courier delays. The model shops in the Wellington area are all but dead now.

Possibly due to the prevalence of online retailers.... Cause and effect 101....

No, not really. One has just retired and the other does not know what he is doing and is driving customers away. The latter's business is in free fall.

I must say their customer service on this occasion has been great. I sent them an email and had a response within an hour. They have also followed up with a phone call to say they are trying to work out what is going on and will call again once they know.

I second that... And If I had the cash, I would personally start something up from one of the small out of town shops.

It is a shame there is no decent shop south of Palmy.
I to would probably open a shop if funds allowed but have seen a small shop fall over due to lack of sales and competing with on line buying so a wee risk I guess.

Look into Primate bud, its a subscription which gives you free shipping, free Saturday delivery upgrades early access to sales & exclusive deals every month. We're not going to be opening brick & mortar stores around the country any time soon sorry, the ROI just isn't there.

I've got primate and it has paid for itself time and again. Doesn't quite get it here any quicker. I normally find Courierpost to be pretty good (but can have foibles like any courier company), we use NZC at work and we have at least one issue a day out of 25-30 parcels sent.

The package has arrived :) . Not sure why the cardboard box was so wet though.

Convertible courier van?

I use Primate all the time, I feel bad when I do it but I've even ordered a single pot of paint when I ran out on a project, it was here the next day and didn't cost anything for shipping. I don't do that normally as I feel if everyone took the piss and abused the system it wouldn't be worth the effort and it would stop.
But other than parcels taking a bit longer than the norm I've had no issues with their choice of couriers.
