I was just browsing the Modelair site and they are selling the 2014 new tool 1/48 Airfix Spitfire Mk Vb kit at 40% off. So now it's $28.90 rather than 47.90. I was a bit suss if it was the brand new tool so I gave them a call. Apparently the supplier has a surplus, maybe from everyone wanting mk1 Spitfires for the BoB anniversary.

Anyway, I thought some of you all might be interested in a bargain :)

Ahh well.
Box from Modelair arrived this morning with the Spitfire, tape, and to make sure the postman does not get to complacent some cheap figures and aftermarket weapons for modern aircraft.

MA got a big chunk of my $$$ last month so its only fair to spread it round.
OK, thruth is Modelair packaging is far more non-descript so slips pass the wife much easier :-)

Cunning plan there, Modelair, like most kiwi stores just use whatever left over cardboard they have usually hence their non-descript packaging. I got mine Spitfire too plus some Tamiya paint and looked at the receipt and thought that's quite pricey until I realised they hadn't deducted the 40%! Anyway has been sorted, got some store credit which will be used up in no time.
