Hi
With the recent fall in prices for ZM Phantoms, I am think about getting either the F-4C or D boxing.
Just wondering if anyone on here has the kit, or has built it, and has some views on how much better [or not] it is than the Academy F-4?
My impressions of the ZM from the net reviews are that it is a higher quality kit in terms of moldings / cockpit etc...and I not concerned about the 'rear-end' issues of the kit.
Interested to hear how the ZM compares in your view, at twice the price [for me at least] to the Academy base kit.
Thanks in advance.

I’ve got the Academy/Eduard F-4J and the ZM F-4J and F-4S. The only reason I still have the Academy/Eduard kit is that I have plans to build the Hasegawa, Academy and ZM F-4Js in different schemes from the same squadron as a comparison. Academy is still very nice, but ZM is in a different league. The only issue I have found with the ZM kit so far is the rear-fuselage crease which is too sharp and too pronounced by not hugely noticeable to most people.
