I really wish I could, but already brought three kits this year... that's three kits I should not have brought, but too god a price, I had to get them... going to have to model furiously to get through a lot of the stash haha

After saying I wouldn't get any kits for a while as A I'd just bought a new camera and B I've got enough as it is.
Unfortunately when I got an email from ebay to tell me something I was watching had been reduced and then many other things where also reduced then I also won a bid on a King Tiger and as a result I've got 6 kits on the way
Luckily I also found out ebay do click and collect via Argos and various other places in the UK which means I can get the vast bulk of them sent to work so I can pick them up there and break down the order and sneak it home piece by piece and swmbo will be non the wiser

I thought I could resist but if you are ordering something else from MA you have to add something from the Hobby Jungle, and then if they flash up the extra special deals after checkout you have to take one of those.
Dont ya :-/

One more from Modelair, sadly this only applies to those who can getto Auckland and into the shop.

Announcing; The first ever Modelair “A dollar a day for 60 days” sale!

Tens of thousands of dollars worth of product are now on the sale tables at Modelair in the first ever Dutch Auction that we have run.

How does it work?

The sale started on February 1 and more stock is likely to be added.

For each day that passes from February 1 the actual price of the goods on sale drops by a dollar.

For instance as this notice goes out on February 5 there is already $5.00 off the price of each object. For a $300.00 Wingnut Wings kit this may not seem very much, but for a copy of Brett Green’s excellent publication Military Illustrated Modeller the normal retail price of 20.00 has already dropped by 25%, making this an instant bargain.

There’s a trick to it though; you don’t know when an item that you have had your eye on for a while is going to sell! Is the last available Airfix Valiant still going to be there in a few days at an even lower price or had you better snap it up while you can?

The price will keep dropping on every object until it sells OR the price reaches zero (and you can just take it away) OR the shop staff decides the item would look better in one of our own collections.

Don’t muck about, get down while there is still plenty of choice and grab something cool to build, operate, read or admire.

Just got that email earlier too. Was going in tomorrow anyway for a gander but now I'll have to pop in every week or so to see what deals I can grab. Probably not many as money is tight but you never know what I might find.

I saw that as well and didn't realise it was one of Fichten Foo's kits. I've seen a fair bit of his stuff before and he does some wonderful work. His Blog is here .

I've an order with Lucky Models at the moment that's been stalled for a month. :(
One item on was on backorder - they estimated it would be 1 week restock time. Last week I tried cancelling the backordered item with no luck - this was not permitted.
This is why every modeller needs a big stash :P

Send emails... they say its on back order will be processed soon.....

With the Hasegawa product number of 08126 that tells me that you have a 1-32 scale kit. The 08... series are 1-32 limited edition kits. ;)

Once you know how Hasegawa's product coding works it's easy to identify their kits. The 1-48 TA-4J you have pictured is also a limited edition kit ...09887. I have one of those in my stash too. :)

Update on my stalled order: I had an email from Elsie from Lucky Model today (perhaps they monitor this website  ) and now I'm swapping my backordered kit for one of similar value and everything should be on it's way to me shortly.

Not an online sale - but not worth starting another thread.
Jambo Hobbies in Napier is changing owners. They have 30% off kitsets until midday Sunday.
Instore only - their website is down.

Hopefully the new owners aren't changing things too much - AFAIK it's the only model supplies shop in the Hastings/Napier region.

For those unfamiliar with the shop - it's very small - not worth driving from Auckland/Wellington for the sale.

They had lots of kits that I was a little bit tempted by, but few that were actually on my wishlist.
I picked up a set of Revell 1/72 Falklands Paratroopers, for a Scorpion tank diorama I have planned, and an Airfix 1/76 Matilda that I've been meaning to buy for 30+ years :)

I have to go back to Napier on Sunday morning so I might see what's left then.

I'm disappointed with a well known NZ retailer and their onlines sales, 3 weeks ago I ordered a tube of Squadron Green putty as they were the only place in NZ where I could get it. As I was in a bit of a hurry I ordered a tube, they promptly took my money and sent me a receipt, all good I thought.
3 Weeks later I get an email saying they can't get hold of any from their NZ suppliers and would credit me my money.
Sorry but how the hell can you sell something you don't have? If I'd known they didn't actually hold any in stock I would've ordered it elsewhere, I ordered some other parts from BNA the next day and they turned up a few days later, I would've ordered it at the same time.
It's put a dent in my faith of NZ shops, I'm just amazed that in this day and age of online sales and up to date stock levels etc shops still parallel import.
Rant over.

Edit, just heard back from the shop and it seems that it's a fault with their shopping cart system and an out of date Google cache. Maybe I'll have dip my toes back into the NZ shopping waters again :)

I don't think there's a lot of car kits there, maybe a dozen 1/25 Revell/Monogram US cars.
Overall probably 200 kits, mostly military & mostly Revell/Airfix/Italeri. I don't recall much Tamiya or 'high-end' stuff there.

They had a couple of Strike Rouges there so someone must them :-)
Hard to justify when I have an unbuilt PG Aile Strike still in the stash.

Anyway ........ Sales

Luckymodel again
Armor Accessories (with Free Shipping) and Revell this time - http://www.luckymodel.com/doc/NL160225-0768/newsletter.htm

and ScaleModelShop in the UK now have Stynylrez Primer - http://jpp.mj.am/nl2/jpp/1nmlu.html
But for those who missed it Ultimate Modelling Products now have a primer, but if you read the smallprint it looks to be Stynylrez in the bottle so hopefully we will soon be able to get it from BNA
