They pretty much had all the egg planes in stock out the back. I'll do another post tomorrow night and let you know what other new kits they have in stock. I picked up a few others while I was in there but still have to photograph those.

Let me know what helicopters are there 1/48 or bigger, I thought u were in Auckland so will just get you to send up that Lynx this week
Pm me to sort it out
Thanks

I've been building nothing since almost finishing the !:25 Tamiya Tiger. It just needs weathering. However, a couple of days ago I decided to build the Italeri Hybrid Tiger I as F05 (another attempt) and have had a ball replacing horrid bits with the spares from all my DML Tigers. AND, I've actually finished it. Now I am painting and weathering and when I get the time (next Monday maybe I'll actually fire up the new compressor and have some fun with weathering it. Might even do come camouflage on the Late Tiger II and E100 so that I can get on with them. Very therapeutic for a change.

Your doing better than me, I've not had the urge to work on any of the kits for a while despite now having the time as a result of University screwing me over the urge simply isn't there

Next 2 kits on the bench are for the MSMC group build.

Not sure which will be first but I have 6 months before something has to be on the judges table.Leaning towards a quickish build of Puma to get some practice on techniques and then go to town on Tractor as it looks to be a great canvas for weathering.

Nice webby. Gives me some ideas. If I do some armor one day I'll probably start with a wheeled AFV rather then dive into tracks so good to see some in the pipeline.

Currently working n 3 1/43 Tameo kits. All are Jordan Formula one cars. The green one is the 191, the first year Jordan raced in F1. It was also the car that Michael Schumacher drove in his very first F1 GP (Belguim 1991) although this version is from the Japanese GP with Pepsi sponsorship instead of the usual 7Up. This is the car driven by Alex Zanardi who later tragically lost his legs in an Indy car crash. The other driver that year was Andrea De Cesaris, who dies recently in a motor cycle accident in Italy.

The other decaled car is the 193 and will be the Reubins Barrichello version. The blue one that I haven't started on the decals is the 194 and will either be Barrichello or Eddie Irvines car.

The bodies will get a clear coat before I get on with final assembly. Most of the minor assemblies have been completed and hopefully these models will come together quite quickly from here on in!

Here's one I've done previously: www.kiwimodeller.com/index.php/forum/46-...verline?limitstart=0

That was a more detailed kit and took me a while to get done. In comparison these Jordan's are a cinch! ;)

Cheers

Currently still plugging away at the big Hasegawa OA-4M; and setting up a new 'old' PC running XP SP2 so I can get the ALPS printer back into action. Between the ALPS and the Cameo, should then be able to produce custom decals for any of my kits :woohoo:

As a side project (no pics yet) and one that may interest our resident heli-phile (yes, Hadley, that's you), while it IS the wrong scale, I'm currently updating the Hasegawa 1/72 UH-60 into the IDF/AF Yanshuf 1

Trying to get this one finished in the next week or so before my daughter's 2nd birthday ( I promised SWMBO I would have it built before she turned 2). Yes, the plastic is pink and I have taken some shortcuts (like having the gear bays closed and the canopy painted black so I didn't have to worry about the cockpit) but my daughter won't care about those so it has been kind of liberating just throwing it together without worrying about getting it too perfect.

As you can see the decal sheets are rather large, plus there is a particular order you have to do the layers in.

I popped into modelair the other morning to get the pink paints needed to paint it but ended up getting this metallic pinky red instead.

Alan at modelair has asked me to bring it in when it's finished as he has never seen a kit completely covered in decals before...

The reason I never finish anything is I always think I can do better so despite having to rush it it has been rather therapeutic in just being able to throw it together.
I showed it to my little one this morning and I even let her hold it ( ). She didn't want to give it back... So I think I might build up an old academy f16 I have for her and paint it the same time I do this one in the same colour and then she can have it to play with while the f22 will end up hanging from her ceiling in her room.

They are called Berna clamps. They have a carbon fibre or graphite shaft which means that you can change how much pressure the clamps apply by how much you squeeze the 2 arms together at the shaft end. They are very very handy to have. I think I got them from mitre 10 mega when they had a small hobby section. I have also seen them sold at Steve's when he was still open to the public. From memory I paid either 20 per pair or 20 for the lot, can't remember which. They are fantastic so if you ever see some, get them.

What kit is this while? I'm not much of a plane person it could be because this is something different to what comes to mind when I think of a model plane but I wouldn't mind having a go at something like this and as a plus it would fit in quite nicely with the Hatsune Miku BMW when I get round to building it

they certainly have got a fair few of the idolmaster planes so it looks like I'm going to have to start saving as for the fujimi cars I've got one in the stash to build it should hopefully turn out something like this when I get round to building it

Not going to make a topic for this one.

Something really different for me is on the work bench at the moment. This Italeri 1/48 Wessex HAS.3 is part of the Manawatu Scale Model Clubs team build. I am the second member of 3. Most of my work is fitting the rest of the part not already done by the first team member.

This is how I received the build. The inside work and joining of the 2 half's has been beautifully done by the first team member.

Ready to prime the inside of the nose, the dash and upper control/ switch panel. The netting had to be glued in stages to get it to conform to the shape.
