Can pick up both the 1/48 and 1/32 ones off eBay pretty cheap
Already been looking at another Lynx, I'm building the current one "closed up" so doors shut and rotors folded, but I also want one doors open, rotors open and rocket pods on, but just holding back for now till funds are better. I need to stop buying and keep building, got so many unbuilt
Put all my models into my cabinet this morning and I've only just managed to make them fit, its fine for now but gona take them out in the New Year and rearrange it all so it looks better

Gazelle
Scratchbuilt and painted antenna section on front (these are on the British Gazelles)
Dullcote applied yesterday, then maskings removed
Couldn't be bothered getting decals done

Lynx
Got all the rotor blades mounted last week sometime, not easy, had to mount to hub and brackets at same time, without letting the glue dry as some had to be moved a bit
Gary showed me how to wash on Thursday night so did a little bit, not sure if I'm a huge fan but will see how other models go.
Dullcote was applied yesterday and then removed the masks from windows, mask from underside light and added the windscreen wipers.
I rank this kit as my second favourite model I've built.

That's a stunner Hadley, I really should try a whirly bird but I'm having modelling mojo issues at the moment, largely due to the cave being upstairs on the side of the house that gets full sun so is a sauna a lot of the time. It does have a lot of fans and an extractor to hopefully fight that now. and the workbench is super tidy on the upside.

I'll just sit back in the shade and watch the fantastic work on KM :-)

The Lynx looks great Hadley.

I have a surplus Airfix 1-48 Lynx Mk.88A (German)/HMA8 (British)/Mk.90B (Danish) Lynx that is still sealed in its bags that you can have first dibbs on for $30 (plus post) if you are interested?

Here's what I"m working on, this is trumpeter's 1/3 scale M4 Carbine:

And here it is so far:

I've added and refined quite a few details (easily seen as the white plastic card). The vertical foregrip and the AN/PEQ-2A are actually from their M16A4 kit that I picked up for these parts. I'll build that seperately once HLJ send me the missing lower receiver sprues.

The PEQ-2 still needs it's ARMS-17 mount scratch built as the kit mount is a bit imaginative.
Painting will be interesting, it is all black, but in reality is a whole lot of different dark greys and different finishes. There's black plastic furniture, anodised aluminium parts, powder coated steel and phosphated steel.

I guess I'd be rude to say no. But I'll wait till I or someone and bring it down, very low on money at the moment. You're in Auckland right?

OK I'll put it to one side for you. I'm in Lower Hutt but am happy to hold it for a while. My next road trip north through the dizzie heights of T.A..or Hamilton is not likely to be until the Armistice show but I'm a very patient person. :)

Picked up these two new Hasegawa Egg Planes from the Hobby Stop in Wellington over the weekend. They'll make a good modelling interlude and get me back into the building frame.

And if they are online. I would love an egg plane or two as quick builds.

They don't have an online store, if they have any left I'm probably going to pick up a couple - can grab some for you and post them up.

If I get my car back today, I'll pop down tomorrow and have a look.

They have most of the range as they are the "Hasegawa Distributor for NZ" so let me know which ones you're keen on!

The Hobby Stop does have a website but it seems it isn't working at the moment. I've ordered stuff online from them before and if they don't have it on the site, flick them an email and if they stock it they can add it in. Might be best to contact them through their facebook page at the moment, here or here .

Idol Master is in the same vein as Girls Und Panzer. A Japanese cartoon series that plasters school girls over "boys" stuff like tanks and jets.
It works as the girls just as much as the boys.

Eggplanes embody a lot of the things i like in the hobby, anti-establishment (rivet counters hate them), fun (i get as many comments about them as anything else in the cabinet from friends and family), easy but with scope for customization.
They are also great intro kits for the younger builders wanting into the hobby and even older builders wanting to get back in who are scared to try an accurate plane.

I figure they are just fun to build, if they have the Skyhawk I'll enter with that :P

They had just unpacked a whole heap of new kits at the Hobby Stop (in Kilbirnie) when I was in there so if you don't see what you are after on the shelf just ask them because they'll all be out the back. They pretty much had all the egg planes in stock out the back. I'll do another post tomorrow night and let you know what other new kits they have in stock. I picked up a few others while I was in there but still have to photograph those.
